This is proof of what I've said, These people care more about conservative ideological purity than they do about religious piety. They have effectively replaced the christian "god" with conservative ideology. Questioning that ideology is heresy to them, independant thought and opinion has become anathema to them, dissent cannot be tolerated and if one of their own expresses an independant thought or a divergent opinion, or is so much as suspected of doing so then they must be ostracized and cast out lest their heretical opinions infect the rest of the herd.
More and more RR has become a place where these people go, not to share their thoughts and opinions, but a place of fawning yes men beholden to one, and only one, veiw of the world. A place that serves only to validate their prejudices and stroke their egos and sense of supremacy and self importance. Theology has been replaced by ideology, opinion and independant thought has been replaced by subserviance to the groupthink.
Rapture Ready seems to have hitched it's star to this assbackward idea that Obama wasn't born in america and therefore isn't eligible to be president, and further more that such a thing would automatically make McCain & Palin the "real" winners of the election. I'm sure there are many posters at RR who don't buy into this idiotic idea but either go along with it or try to avoid the subject because disagreement would serve only to them being permabanned from RR.
It's the worst kind of bullying, it's "You believe what we tell you to or else." And if someone has the nerve to disagree with some bizarre conspiricy theory or GOP talking point then they have their religious sincerity called into question or they are just banned outright. And Gideon 300 has the nerve to chastise someone for "talking politics" when he, and nearly all the members of RR do nothing but play to the Politics of Fear, and the Warfare of Cowards. They do far more harm to their supposed religion than they could ever hope to heal. The whole thread just goes to show that their political ideology is no less fanfic than their theology. The just make up everything as they go along and then fly into a self righteous rage when someone dares to point that out.
