[on a teen starting a european-american club at school]
Just make sure to have in your club's name something benign, like "European Studies Club" then IMO, you won't need to even mention race in your rules/mission because in the title of your club it's 1. Europe, 2. Studies....what non-white will join that?

And what about Black Britons, or Black French people, or people with oriental heratige who where born as European citizens maybe.. Just because some us are from Europe that don't make us exclusively one colour
The hell of it is, I'm kind of a history geek; if that kind of club wasn't a white-supremacist circle wank it might've appealed to someone like me.
Stupid fucking fucking racists, doing their damnedest to piss all over otherwise innocuous phrases like "European history". They couldn't have used some kind of German word, could they, so they could scuttle off to their dank little corner and admire each other's quivering, pale hard-ons without tainting parts of the English language for the rest of us?
@ Romana
using some kind of German word, huh? it's not as if everything racist is German or everything German racist! ... it's bad what happend over 60 years ago but I am fed up with the thought that my language is apprently only seen as the Nazi-language!
These guys are apparently American racists (who think along the lines of certain groups over here, too, I know...) so it makes sense they use English...
That they taint your language that way is sad, yes... But using German instead is not a good solution either... (exspecially as I would be suprised if these kind of people ever learned another language than their own...)
Of course there are German-American, French-American, British-American, Croatian-American, Swedish-American, etc. societies all over the country. And most of them allow anyone to join in their activities, not just people of those backgrounds.

Anyone who wants to study Europe? I'm white, and I study Africa and Asia all the time. Beautiful, fascinating places. You'll actually be opening the door to the very things you despise-diversity, acceptance and knowledge. And once the other members realize your real intentions were, you'll be the first one booted out the door.
@Tamira: 'S all right! For what it's worth, I didn't even read it as an "explosion". I suppose that's just a quirk of text-based communication. I mean, we're both pretty obviously united in our disgust at people who steal away good words and return them full of racist nastiness. It's cool.
Dont see anything eurocentric with "Europe" or "European". Whether Europe is a real continent doesnt change that its a real region. It would be confusing to say "Eurasian" if the group was only studying Europe. India's not a continent, its a subcontinent but "Indian Studies" wouldnt be called Indiocentric.
"Yama the Space Fish
Call it "Ustase"
Not many people know what it means, but it reflects the intent of the group."
-> hehe, that would certainly attract Team Norval, but your regular white racist is probably too ignorant to have heard of the Ustase, even though their ideology is exactly the kind these idiots love :P
Btw. pozdrav? o_o
Confused?
