The real story is nothing like you said, the poor man didn't try to blame himself, he tried to give a statement against, but was unable to do so himself because of how badly damaged he was. His mother had to read it for him. There was no self blame, no wanting to turn straight and wash sperm.

The guy may well have brain damage but goes to a liberal church that accepts gay marriage. Not very fundie IMHO. I tend to the view that real fundies are those (like Creationists, some Catholics and the 'Trail of Blood' Baptists) who knowingly lie for Christ because they believe the end justifies the means.
And the cynical mega-church evangelicals of course... although how I'd separate televangelists tithing the poor in the trailer park to pay for their new beamer from medieval Bishops shafting the peasants to build York Minster or Chartres Cathedral I don't know.

So, which Prince is the "real" one? The gay male beaten so badly that his traumatic gay injury changed his personality, or the Prince who is now "not gay"? If a person has a soul, has Prince's soul already moved on, or has it been stolen by this new Prince? I can only hope the prosecutor puts on a doctor to explain Prince's personality changes in biological terms, so that Pomie can continue to rot in jail. Or alternatively, beat the living crap out of him one time. Maybe the personality change in Pomie caused by brain injury might make for a more useful human being.
