Here is my problem:

I have a fairly new job. I thought it would be great; but now not so certain.

My current manager is a nice person and if I "worked" directly for him it would be fine. However, the structure at work is different. I have to work directly for a woman. Well, I will be blunt. This woman is a "man"; if you know what I mean. She is trying to be a man in every respect. I can handle different life styles; but She is a control freak, and tries to act sooo much like a man that she is overbearing and needs to "chill out". As a Christian, I have difficulty working so close in this type of situation. I have been in the work place for 30+ years and have never been in this type of situation before. How should I handle it. Should I start looking for another job. I would talk with my direct manager about the difficulties I am experiencing but not sure of the relationships yet and so forth as I am fairly new to this place of work.

What directions can any Christian out there give to me??? Help. Anything would be much appreciated.

Yeah, because your little control complex club is male membership only. "NO GURLZ ALLOUD!!"

Now, if being an overbearing boss means being a "man", then being a nice, thoughtful person means being a "woman".

Oh, and 30+ years and you've never had a female boss?! Pathetic.

Nope, your problem isn't "as a christian", it's "as a sexist"

Short version: "As a Christian man, women are inferior to me."

Let's see...she won't let YOU push HER around, so she must be "acting like a man". I think YOU need to grow up and stop acting like a bitch.

I'll bet his boss doesn't even have the proper modesty to wear a burka, no less to know her place.

Oh wait, I thought this was a post on the Taliban Ready Board. I didn't see the Christian part there for a second.

Perhaps you need to grow a pair?

She's your boss. Deal with it.

In other words, she's acting like a boss and you can't take it cause she has a vadge. Why not thank TEH LROD you have a job instead of being unemployed like countless people in this country?

Sisyphus: So like what? She wears a strap on and has a five o'clock shadow?

DragonflyinChrist: Well no but she's assertive and speaks her mind.

Sisyphus: Get over yourself and grow the fuck up

I'd march right in to the head of the company and say "I ain't workin' for no skanky bitch of a woman. It ain't nach'rul. Why ain't she home scrubbin' the floor and fetchin' her husband's beer?"

Seriously, I've worked for both. Successful men act like professional executives, and so do successful women. Nowadays in most larger companies, you have to get results. You don't get any extra points for having a penis.

She probably knows you're a misogynist pig who can't stomach having a female supervisor, and relishes lording it over you. I know I would.

Guys, he's talking about a boss who's an obvious lesbian. That's his problem.

Although I see why you're not completely with him; he says he'll be blunt, then ends with "If you know what I mean." That's not being, blunt, dumbass.

By "tries to act like a man", do you happen to mean "isn't subservient to me"?

Get another job or go to your current manager and tell him what you think. Then look for another job because I'm 99.9% you'll be fired or seriously reprimanded. Your insecurity is obvious. You get a job and you whine about your immediate superior is a woman? As I said: Quit. There are plenty out there that will fill your job slot. Wussy.

Shut up and get back to work. If work was fun, we wouldn't have too different words for the two different things. There is a reason for this separation.

Read bible verses at her. That's right, I said "at her" not "to her."

She'll be so convicted by the divine words of the one true god that she'll immediately quit her job, marry the first man she sees (assuming she's not already married), and bear him many, many sons (and only sons) while tending to the fields, preparing meals and darning clothing. Praise the lord!
