Here's fun: count your ribs, and then, count the ribs of your significant other, provided same is of the opposite gender and not a huge fattie. It's fun, and educational! (but possibly ticklish).
(I've never understood why, even if Adam had a rib removed, all his male descendants would then be a rib short. God is a Lamarckian?)

Let's see. You have an old book. One old book(yours) says the man and woman have different number of ribs. I'm a man. I had X-ray of my chest and so did my sister (long story, doesn't matter why). We have the same number of ribs. My sister also studies medicine. She has 7 books that say the same thing. And you somehow win the debate?

Reality=/= holly book? Conclusion: Reality isn't compatible with the book? Screw reality, go with the book.

I, and the medical science establishment, have a bone to pick with you. 206 of them, to be exact. If adult males have one bone less than females, then that number would be 205 for males. But it's not. It's 206 - both female and male.

It would be much easier to identify skeletal remains if the rib thing were true. Unfortunately it isn't so we have to rely on the pelvis (not as reliable as TV makes it out to be), the angle of the femur neck and other subtle clues.
