Quote# 65121

Its not 'if' the real America is going to drop the 15 ton weight on these leftiust tyrant wannabees, its 'when'. As obama and his marxist circus do more and more arrogant un-American things, the majority of citizens are coming around to the thought that they need to be gone.

I dont think they will last to the next elections (2010) because they will see the people turning against them and will step up their plans. America isnt blind and unlike the russians and chinese when the leftists told the same lies, we (the people of the United States of America) know what Democracy is like and that we dont want any tyrants lording it over us.

America will regurgitate the poison that is Obama and the only worry is how much blood will come up with it.

First off, the next elections will be held in 2012, genius(Although I'm betting he doesn't think so, considering 2012 myths.), second, Many americans, unfortunately, are rather ignorant and/or apathetic when it comes to politics, so yeah, America actually is a bit blind. And third, everyone knows what a democracy is, but since when have China and Russia been telling "Leftist lies"? Go on, tell me...

@Those who have said the next election is in 2012: That's the year of the next Presidential election. Midterm elections (House, a third of the Senate, many Governorships) will take place in November 2010. Conceivably, the Republicans could win large gains (midterm elections are usually bad for the President's party; 1998 was an exception because the Dems couldn't go much lower, while in 2002 the Republicans won on 9/11 sentiment) and will likely be in not quite as bad a position as they are now. If they do make large gains, they can frustrate Obama's plans either through an outright majority in one house of Congress, or at least through control of somewhat more than 40 Senate seats (to filibuster).

So Obama can't be removed from office by normal means until 2012 (barring the highly unlikely event of an impeachment and conviction), but his agenda can be stalled and blocked after 2010 if the Republicans do well enough in that year's Congressional elections.

No logic at all. And what's that obssesion with blood?

8/31/2009 10:20:27 PM

Isn't being President of the United states THE MOST American thing you can do?

That's right, Republican voter. Please whip yourself and your party into more of a frothing lather as you move further to the right.

Because people really want to vote for nutcase extremists...

(now, if only the Democrats could move themselves back to the centre and offer better alternatives to the far-right Republicans)

I wonder if these people even realise, that in many other countries in the word, including Denmark where I am, Obama would be considered a far right-winger -- and we're not exactly communist, just social-democratic.
Oh yeah, and our democracy works a hell of a lot better than yours. Not that it's perfect.

Perhaps you should look up the definition of words like "tyrant" or "marxist" before you start bandying them about. Obama was democratically elected, and, to the best of my knowledge, has thus far conducted his administration within all constitutional bounds. I'm no expert, but I'd say that gives him an approximate tyranny value of, oh, roughly, give or take, exactly zero.

Mr. Creazil

Yes, because wanting to violently overthrow a democratically elected leader is what democracy is all about. Makes me ashamed to be an American.

"Its not 'if' the real America is going to drop the 15 ton weight on these leftiust tyrant wannabees, its 'when'."

You either don't know the meaning of "leftist" or "tyrant". Probably both.

"As obama and his marxist circus do more and more arrogant un-American things, the majority of citizens are coming around to the thought that they need to be gone."

Saying, on a publicly accessible internet site no less, that a sitting president and his cabinet "need to be gone" probably isn't the wisest thing you could do.

"I dont think they will last to the next elections (2010) because they will see the people turning against them and will step up their plans."

I hope for your sake you aren't referring to the next presidential election if you think it's in 2010.

"America isnt blind and unlike the russians and chinese when the leftists told the same lies, we (the people of the United States of America) know what Democracy is like and that we dont want any tyrants lording it over us."

We had, for eight fucking years, the closest thing this country has ever seen to tyrannical rule -- and you said nothing. You can shut the fuck up now, too.

"America will regurgitate the poison that is Obama and the only worry is how much blood will come up with it."

Seriously, what the hell is it with you people? Were you all out of the country in some remote jungle during the last administration? You cannot possibly think that Bush was better than Obama. If Obama does anything short of accidentally nuking either the U.S. or another country he'll be lauded as the pinnacle of presidency when compared to Bush.

9/1/2009 6:36:22 AM

Dr. Novakaine

You think the Republicans are going to be better? They've purged their party of people who don't adhere strictly to the talking points. They've become extremists who care about nothing but power; it doesn't matter what's good for the people, it only matters what's good for them. I wish it wasn't so, but the more I see of the current Republican party the less I want them in even low control of this country. There desperately needs to be a schism in that party, with moderates coming up with real candidates that might do something for this country instead of the blind partisan hacks that currently make up the Republicans in Washington.

9/1/2009 8:20:43 AM

@dpareja: Exactly. The republicans are doing everything they can to keep the media focused on their agenda. Right now, they're trying to throw so much bullshit out there that the White House cannot immediately counter. So when Cheney bitches about how Obama is hurting the CIA's morale on the weekend, the White House cannot respond until Mon., giving Cheney's bullshit that much more credibility. Add in the Fox echo chamber and its gullible viewers and you can help manufacture a dip in the polls. If they keep this up until 2010, the republicans are in a good position of gain Congressional seats. This would allow them to filibust and stonewall any democratic efforts until the 2012 elections roll around where they'll accuse the democrats of not doing anything during their time in office.
