This particular combination of words is usualy a preface to an open declaration of being racist.

I believe black people are closer to gorillas than to white people...
Ok, So theres black people, and white people. and the black people are "closer to gorillas than to white people".... Ok I suppose one could barely pass this off s simple ignorance and idiocy... as long as the terms "black" and "white" are not being used as identifyers for any "races".
Maybe by "black" she is refering to a persons moral standing,,, by which one could say that Desmond Tutu is fairly "white", and G.W.Bush is indeed as "black" as can be...
But somehow I doubt she means anything like this.

Ok now she is realy making it hard to buy her opening line... But to give the benefit of what tiny doubt there may still be, She could be talking about Chimps and Bonoboes as being people. It is possible. Just not very probable.

Just for the record, when the gorilla line diverged from the chimp/hominid line, all the species involved look pretty much like gibbons, and it would be a long time before chimpanzees and hominids split, so, you know, not.

The reason "I'm not a racist, but" only ever precedes racist statements is that people who are trying to be non/anti-racist generally don't say it, they prove it. Your statement is pure, undiluted, classical racism.

Also "our" race? Way to assume anyone else who might be reading your comment is white, bitchface. Lesson 1 of the internet: You can never tell who's actually using it. And if you think they're all or even mostly white Americans you're very naive indeed.
