Being born a certain way doesn't make it right or natural anyway. Someone could be born with a kleptomaniac gene or a tourette syndrome gene, that still doesn't make those activities okay. People are born mentally ill, that doesn't make erratic and crazy behaviour acceptable.

LAH is actually right imo that the origin of sexual orientation (which I presume is being talked about) is a separate issue from whether a behavior is acceptable - if pedophilia were shown to be prenatal in origin, that would not make it acceptable to most people. However, gay adults can give informed consent to private acts that are of no consequence to others. As it happens, evidence of the biological basis to homosexuality does encourage most people to be more accepting of gay people, fortunaely.
Someone could be born with a mathematic gene or a caring gene, that still doesn't make those activities okay. Oh, wait, yes it does. The defining thing about okay or crazy and erratic is "does it affect or harm others around them?"
You people don't spew even a thenth of the vile hatred over kleptomaniacs, tourette-afflicted or mentally ill people, as you do over the homosexuals. You don't call them abomination, threaten them with hell nor say that they are unnatural, evil. So your comparison is somewhat lop-sided.

True -- but being a homosexual can't be a sin then. Sinning is a choice.

Except kleptomania doesn't have a gene. And I believe you can receive help for tourettes. And lastly, the APA has long since declared that homosexuality is not a mental disorder.

Actually, the field of Abnormal Pyschology still hasn't come to a conclusion of whether or not mental illness is something one is born with. With the exception of Schizophrenia -- they are fairly certain of a biological process but are just unable to locate it.
So, you are full of fail.
Confused?
