He's basically telling kids to work hard, stay in school, and don't let obstacles stand in your way.

These people just need to get over themselves.

Stay in school? Work hard? Take responsibility for your life?

Yeah. That's evil.

I got the same sense when I read the Bible...

Yeah, but then again, you sense evil in lint and warm butter.

Yeah, I know what you mean. During the last speech he gave I saw him spit green vomit and turn his head a full 360 degrees.

"you can actually sense the evil in the man"

As opposed to... what? Knowing the obvious insanity whenever George Dumbya Bush and Sarah Failin deigned to open their cake-holes.

Q: How do you know when a Repubican is lying?

A: Whenever they're breathing.

To accept responsibility for one's life is the most dire heresy known to fundie sheep.

The sheep are frightened at the prospect of being 'left behind', but there it is.

What version was he reading?!

Wow, such evil message. He told them to steal, kill, rape and lie and he will forgive them everything if they say they believe in him and give him some of the loot... Oh, wait... He didn't said that.

9/19/2009 9:37:55 AM

aaa

This is getting ridiculous.

I cannot find one single thing wrong with anything that he said here...except that he mentions people who aren't white and broken families, and I know how threatening that is to you fundies. But everyone isn't just like you, and even people who come from what you consider to be a nontraditional home deserve to get an education and make the best they can out of their lives. Quit being fucking racist snobs.

These people must think that it is in some way meritorious or beneficial to make oneself look like a moron.

"you can actually sense the evil in the man as you read through this"

Uh, no. I can't. YOU can, but then, you idiots see evil in everything.

It is an inspiring speech. Only a jackass or a retard would read that and think it was evil or disgusting!

So what is it that makes it evil, Richie? The scary Black man or the fact that we've got a Democrat president and your Corpse and Princess Barbie lost?

9/19/2009 10:42:16 AM

Efrain

You'd claim his words would be evil if he claimed that all the kids are to worship Jesus and read only from the KJV. :/

Yes! How could they let a black man talk to our children.

>_>

I was actually reading a certain blog piece about this particular bit of paranoia. Apparently they're frightened of Obama precisely because he isn't saying anything terrifying. Makes the fundies seem a little less crazy...

...but just a little.

Jeez, all he did was tell the kids to work hard and stay in school.Whats so evil about that? I bet there isn't as many parents stopping their children from hearing the president's message as you'd like to think.

9/19/2009 12:49:18 PM

I agree. Not once did he mention the benefits of going to a fourth-rate diploma mill in order to become a Fundamentalist Christian preacher.

9/19/2009 12:54:51 PM

Yes because telling kids that they need a education to get a good job above burger flipper is a bad thing.

@Wehpudicabok: Cheers for the linkage. That actually makes it a bit understandable; not excusable, but from their perspective understandable. The fear is that kids will see this man who's *not* the devil incarnate as dear old Mum and Dad see him, and then the kids start to think: well, what else have my parents lied to me about? Then all Mum and Dad's hard work to raise a good little fundie sheep is out of the window.

Mouth-breathing is profoundly addictive emotionally, physically, and intellectually, Richie. It is also extremely annoying.

Cold turkey the habit, man. Just say no.
