Two Soldiers Killed Trying to Rescue NYT Reporter In Afghanistan

Any NYT reporter captured should not be rescued. When you have a newspaper that has betrayed this country and put soldiers' lives in danger by reporting national secrets, and you work for them, sorry you can die.

Certain reporters, starting with those from the NYT can be left to rot. Obviously, the military will never come out and say that publicly, but that should be SOP for any of the treasonous bastards that have undercut our brave soldiers for years now.

Oh, you say you are being held hostage by terrorists? I thought you said that there was no such thing!!! "Freedom fighters, you called them." Well enjoy your "freedom" now you scum.

Citation seriously fucking needed.

Besides, if fire fighters fight fire, and crime fighters fight crime, what do freedom fighters fight?

Excellent George Carlin reference, Mudak.

This bastard never served as an American soldier. I'd say his opinion isn't worth spit.

If, by some off-chance he did, he needs a refresher on the meaning of duty and honor. Painful and prolonged, if neceessary

I suppose you only want reporters saved if they're from Faux News...

Journalism is the only profession mentioned in the Bill of Rights. Deal with it ass wipe.

I bet that you would be yelling and screaming if Lonesome Rhodes (Glen Beck) or Loofah Boy (Bill O'Reilly) was captured, all though one of their coworkers (Geraldo Rivera) did once reveal the locations of the troops in Iraq.

If this is the story I'm thinking of, then the reporter is British (albeit working for the NYT) and the dead were a British soldier, the reporter's Iraqi interpreter and two civilians; so none of your precious Americans were hurt, Asshat.

If you really understood American values, you'd understand that a free press able to criticize the administration is one of the most patriotic things we have.

IMO those NYT reporters covering the war in Afghanistan deserve our praise more than the soldiers. Which takes more guts, to go to a war zone armed to the teeth, or to walk through it with just a camera?

Frankly, it's appalling how the right treats reporters, making them out to be the bad guy for basically doing their job, and doing what the founding fathers intended them to do.

First Amendment. It protects what you morons are calling treason. The founding fathers wanted us to question the government when we disagreed with them and to deliver the news without fear of being silenced. They're doing exactly what they're supposed to be doing.

If anything, you're the traitor, anonymous.

The job of American soldiers is to protect Americans. NYT reporters are Americans.

Last time I remember any politicians calling terrorists freedom fighter was...hmm...well, it was...oh yeah, REAGAN. As in, YOUR GUY.

"When you have a newspaper that has betrayed this country and put soldiers' lives in danger by reporting national secrets, and you work for them, sorry you can die. "

Does that include reporters who print the name of CIA spies in their column? And the vice presidents who told the reporters the name of the spy?
