WHat's "normal" for on person may not be "normal" for another, dipshit. For myself,it's "normal" to be straight. For another, being gay is "normal". I expect people to respect my rights to my version of "normal" AND to respect other people's version of it as well. It's called EQUAL RIGHTS.

That's the purpose of civil rights: Protecting the minority from the majority. And 8% is a pretty significant number of people -- in the US, that's about 28 million, in fact. "At most"? Hah. I'd wager that there are millions more out there who haven't come out of the closet yet, thus raising that percentage even higher. And don't forget the people who are mostly attracted to the opposite sex, but harbour fantasies or curiosities about their own gender. In fact, if everyone was completely honest about their own sexuality, I would expect that you'd find homosexual traits in the MAJORITY of the population, given than sexuality is such a complicated thing, going well beyond basic reproduction.

My brother and his partner are renovating their house, going to work everyday, cooking and cleaning, watching sports, movies and sitcoms on TV, raising a couple of pets, and having fun on the weekends. What's abnormal about that?

Although this person is an asshat, I have to agree with one point. Many (not all) gay people who voted for Obama are dissapointed with him about the way he is dealing with (or more so not dealing with) gay issues. Still, it's MUCH MUCH better than the alternative that was presented. Progress is slow, people like this poster are dead weight.

Nobody says "I think I'll be a homosexual, because somebody told me it's perfectly fine not to like the other sex". So how could liberals increase it?
Because this is a run-on sentence that is also filled with other grammatical errors, I am having difficulty in deciphering just what this person is trying to say.
Is he/she saying that American homosexuals are angry with Obama because he lied to them about giving them equality? And that only 8% of the U.S. population is made up of homosexuals?
There are some who have tried homosexuality just to piss their parents off, or for whatever reason. However, if we accept homosexuality as just part of life, it would be rather difficult for these type of people to use homosexuality just to piss their parents off.
