Quote# 66044

The real problem is that everyone wants to believe in evolution because is discredits God our creator. Its feels much better to put the blinders on, for now anyway, and think that we are not to answer to a creator. Then we can live just as we want because we are just animals and the God of the universe is a fairy tale, right? By the way, universe means a single (uni)- spoken sentence(verse). "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth". Choosing to reject God and accept evolution takes more "faith" than believing in the Bible and understanding creation as it is given to us. Sin is the problem, men like darkness and the Bible is a Spot light. One day God will let people have their way in rejecting Him and there is a place for those sadly. Heaven will not be filled with people who don't want anything to do with God. Repent and accept Jesus Christ as your only means of salvation. Read your Bible, seek God and he will reveal Himself!

Evolution doesn't disprove God's existence.

Evolution simply states the method. Christians decided that it couldn't be right because it didn't agree with its book written two fucking millennia before Darwin was first popped out.

You want to know why some people are abandoning Christianity, idiots? Amazingly enough, the theory of evolution can give you a hint on this one. Species that can't adapt go extinct; those that can survive. Likewise, religions that can't integrate new knowledge into their systems are going to go extinct, and those that can are going to flourish. It's a simple answer, and you don't seem to get it.

Blinders are put on horses by man. Blinders are put on man by God.

Man takes blinders off.

Your metaphor doesn't work. End of discussion.

A) No, evolution does not mean there is no god, it just means that Creationism specifically is wrong.
B) No, "universe" comes from the prefix "uni" meaning one, and "versus", which comes from the Latin "vertere" meaning "to turn". It's nothing about living in a spoken sentence. Kent Hovind may have said so, but Kent Hovind is known to be a liar.
C)If God REALLY wanted to give people a free choice as to whether they wanted to accept or reject him, he'd have heaven but no hell. Bad things have their own bad consequences already. You don't need to add eternal torture to it.

"Then we can live just as we want because we are just animals and the God of the universe is a fairy tale, right?"

Yes. This is the only correct sentence out of your blabbering.

Rejecting God and accepting evolution are not necessarily synonymous, although personally I do both. However, accepting what science has shown us does not require more "faith" than accepting prima facie the words written by ignorant shephers thousands of years ago. This is for largely the same reason that it would take a heck of a lot more faith to believe that the earth is flat rather than spherical. Blind acceptance of nonsense requires much more "faith".

Exactly, your creator! I don't believe in a god anymore but I was brought up as a catholic and I was told that it was a god of absolute good friendliness and forgiveness and not the murderess dictator and a slave driver killing everyone and everything it doesn't like
