it is still the opinion of whoever did the study. I just did a study, and I have come to the conclusion that there is no good reason to allow gays to adopt children. That doesn't make it a fact. It makes it an opinion. Obviously, Somebody didn't think it would be a good idea for gays to have children, He also didn't think it would be a good idea ... Read Morefor men and cows to have children, but I bet you could find a study that would say there is no good reason to prohibit men and cows from adopting a child.

So all the studies on your site are merely opinions then.
"Read Morefor men and cows to have children, but I bet you could find a study that would say there is no good reason to prohibit men and cows from adopting a child."
And the stupidity never ceases. If it's so easy they why don't you show us one of these "studies".
...I bet you could find a study that would say there is no good reason to prohibit men and cows from adopting a child.
You do realise that this is the sort of argument no one takes seriously?
You didn't provide the evidence and sarcasm is not a proper rebuttal. And on top of that, the bigotry is obvious.
Edit
I just read the rest of his post. he also had this to say.
There is a group called NAMBLA, I'm sure you have heard of them, they have done numerous studies as well, and the results of their studies are.....wait for it.... .it is their "opinion" that it is perfectly normal for a 45 year old man to have sex with a 13 year old boy.
Yeah. Like a proper fundie, he went there.
I just did a study....
Lying for the Lord, lying for the Lord, we shall come rejoicing, lying for the Lord.
I bet you could find a study that would say there is no good reason to prohibit men and cows from adopting a child.
Next verse, same as the first.

You'll pardon me, of course, if I am not impressed by your study. You may have an opinion (ignorant and wrong) but I'd bet dollars to dead snails you didn't do any scientific research in your "study."
"That doesn't make it a fact."
On that we agree.
"It makes it an opinion. Obviously,"
Indeed, however, an opinion based upon actual research are more worthy than opinions based upon wishful thinking. And, the evidence in credible studies are facts regardless of whether they support ones positions or not.

I imagine many men WITH cows have done well by their adopted children. No one but an idiot trying to support an idiotic opinion would suggest having a cow be the adoptive parent of a human child. Do you see yourself in this, James?
Hint: You're the id__t.
"I just did a study, and I have come to the conclusion that there is no good reason to allow gays to adopt children."
How about the fact that there are many, many children in need of permanent homes? That seems like a good reason to me. Odd that you "study" obviously did not take this into account.
An opinion that is not based on evidence is pretty much worthless. A proper study is an examination of the evidence that makes an effort to control for confounds and biases. When you have such a study that backs your claims that gay people should not adopt, then your claims can be taken seriously.
Of course, that will never happen, because you do not recognize your biases for what they are.
it is still the opinion of whoever did the study.
No, it is an opinion backed by published evidence. If you want to come to a different opinion, fine; but you need to base it on evidence, not just pull it out of thin air.
I have come to the conclusion that there is no good reason to allow gays to adopt children
Sure there is. Kids are better off in a settled home than in foster care. Besides, sometimes the children that gays want to adopt are the natural children of their partner by a previous, failed heterosexual relationship.
O_o
*facepalm*
No.
Just... no.
A study is a few thousand opinions supported by actual evidence.
this is a democracy, if you recall. your one opinion is meaningless.
Oh yes, independent studies are often done by biased people asking biased people about the same bias to come up with a biased answer to their biased opinion.
Atleast needle dick admits it's an opinion
I just did a study, and I have come to the conclusion that there is no good reason to allow gays to adopt children. That doesn't make it a fact. It makes it an opinion.

I don't think you understand what you're talking about.
I bet you could find a study that would say there is no good reason to prohibit men and cows from adopting a child.

Yeah, you don't know what you're talking about.
Translation:
"I just did a study, and I have come to the conclusion that there is no good reason to allow a particular minority a right enjoyed by everyone else, and when there's no good reason to allow something, the government should ban it. I will disguise my bigotry by calling it an opinion. I will further compare my target minority with criminals to make my point even more biting to those who, like me, have never encountered the phrase 'informed consent'."
To a scientist:
"Did a study" = "I completed a lengthy, double-blind experiment to reach a statistically significant conclusion about something. I did not tamper with the evidence in any way and tried to be as objective as possible."
To James Smith:
"Did a study" = "I read some books and stuff, and most of them agreed with me, so I must be right!"
I just did a study.
What? Just now, a few seconds ago. Take my word for it.
Anyway, I have come to the conclusion that James Smith is a bigot and an idiot ... a certified bigiot, in fact.
Well as a child I preferred the company of cows over the company of my parents.
So yeah, maybe this 'study of one' proves that cows make better parents than fundies.
Wait, let me get this straight. We can't flush the little parasites down the can; we can't give them to people who want them; and the rest of you wouldn't be bothered with a tainted trash baby anyway...so...what was the question?
Oh, and making me have and keep a baby anyway will result in two things: I'll use the fuck out of the welfare system -yeah, YOUR tax dollars!- and then I'll just starve or beat the thing to death.
But the good news: You'll sleep just fine at night knowing you kept millions from making their own informed decisions. Yay you!
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
