If Shariah law comes to America you will see what a pyre of muslim bodies look like after they stone their first woman. I'll gladly light it up, too.

With over 80% of the population being Christian, how would such a thing come about? Are you really saying that all these good Christian folks would institute laws based upon a religion different from the one you adhere to? Would you?

"If Shariah law comes to America you will see what a pyre of muslim bodies look like after they stone their first woman. I'll gladly light it up, too."
Really? Because if you'd read your Wholly Babble you'd know you should join them in the stoning, depending on what kind of "sin" she has committed.
While I agree with the sentiment against religious law, this takes it WAY too far. -I- remember the "Burning Times".
@Misty -- Ummm.... 'scooze meh, but I'm pretty sure the Bible doesn't mention Cannabis.
Which you would do as well if you do not cherry pick from your own Holly Bible, thank you very much. That's the hated part of the bible, you know.
One Pope said: "Not one book has made more agnostics, atheists and people who doubt in god's judgment than Old Testament." /paraphrase
We will never have shariah law as long as you fruitcakes in the religious right stop trying to tear down the wall of separation of church and state.
Of course idiots like this would rather implement their own version of shariah law, but they just don't want Muslim shariah law.
Why is this fundie?
An oppressive and inhumane religion from the Middle East supplanting the (far less uptight) local one is a possibility (even if, at this particular time, a rather remote one.)
It happened once in Rome, after all.
"How dare they kill one of ours! We should kill all of theirs! (Our moral system is clearly superior: it lets us kill more people we don't like!)"
I hope that the reason the comments on this thread are relatively mild is that you all overlooked the word "pyre" and/or its implications.
Edit: @Hirsute_Nailbomb: this guy is against Muslims, and the fact that they stone women for certain crimes (this seems to be all he knows about Sharia law). Personally, I also find that detestable, but he wants to fight metaphorical fire with literal fire by burning them all, which is horrific and very fundie.
wait a minute, wait a minute. i'm really confused by this statement. i thought these asshats didn't want shariah law to come to america? i thought they were afraid of president obama enacting it and the christian persecutions starting. how and why would this guy, "gladly light it up?" is this post against women or muslims or both? i really, really don't understand.
@Headache
"With over 80% of the population being Christian, how would such a thing come about?"
Didn't you know the Obama is a muslim? Or was it an atheist? or both?
What I love most is how often the teabaggers and Taliban/terrorists seem to agree with their fundamental beliefs and their reasons for disliking the present government.
I have to apologize now for thinking the left wing nutjobs went too far during the last administration. See what you've done?
Remember everyone, with the anti-Christ Muslim in the white house they believe this is a possible scenario. How they would let an infidel like him join in the process shows a second logic leap as an extra even more unlikely scenario
But hey, It's Moonbattery, this sites giving RR a run for the crazy award, this isn't even remotely as nuts a some shit they've said. Not remotely possible but no demons this time
"
How do you know she is a witch?
She looks like one! "
She turned me into a newt!
Why would you light it up Jay? And the Christian Taliban has a lot in terms with Shariah. They just won't admit it. You secretly admire them because they have their religion as the state religion. And no we never will. First amendment
Yeah, unless she was a liberal, pro-choice, public education adovocating, environmentalist woman.
You're just jeallous, admit it. You right-wing "Christians" would just love to have the right to stone disobedient women, wouldn't you? We'll just have to rename it "Biblical Law" and you'll be all over it.
Burning people at the stake, that sounds a bit Sharia too, ya know...
Confused?
