/anyone that accepts homosexuality should be ashamed of themselves.../
Yes, how dare I accept my homosexual friends for who they are. How dare I treat them like human beings instead of screaming at them and shunning them and telling them how they're abominations and deserve to die. How dare I go about my daily life without giving a darn about what homosexuals are doing in their spare time. How dare I mind my own business. How dare I pass by a same-sex couple holding hands without screeching at them, fainting, going into hysterics, retching, or calling the police. How dare I see nothing wrong with homosexuality and how dare I want my fellow man and woman to enjoy the same rights that I'm free to take for granted. What a horrible, shameful, awful person I am, to actually care about people other than myself and want them to be able to live their lives happily and in peace! To enjoy the same rights that Jefferson and the other Founding Fathers held to be self-evident: "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."
Because we all know that Jesus "Love thy neighbor as thyself/Let he who is without sin throw the first stone" Christ would stone them all on sight, right?
/they should protest, picket, boycott.../
I wouldn't mind, as long as I was protesting FOR homosexuals, not against them. Yes, you don't like it when the shoe's on the other foot, do you, Mike?
/whatever to end homosexual behavior./
You know, I do remember a little Christian parable featuring St. Augustine, where he finds a little boy on a beach, digging a hole in the sand and trying to fill it with all of the ocean's water. Now, the moral of that story was that trying to completely understand God is as impossible as what the little boy (who turns out to be an angel in disguise, surprise!) was trying to do, but I think it's applicable here. Mike, there have been laws against homosexuality around the world for centuries. There are laws against homosexuality right now. It sure as heck hasn't stopped gay men from sleeping with other men or lesbians from sleeping with other women, regardless of whether or not they're married. It didn't stop Oscar Wilde, it didn't stop Alan Turing, it didn't stop King James I, and no, Ahmadinejad, it won't stop the homosexuals in your country.
/it is disgusting,/
That's your opinion and nothing more. How childish and immature. You know, there are a lot of things that I find disgusting that plenty of other people are perfectly fine with. Should I petition Congress to ban broccoli? How about shepherd's pie? How about all of those stupid frat-boy movies with juvenile, toilet humor? Would you like it if I took something away from you (that was perfectly legal and non-harmful) just because *I* found it gross? No? Then mind your own business.
/spreads disease,/
So does heterosexual sex, but I don't see you complaining about that. It's a sad day indeed, when a virus is more non-discriminatory than human beings. HIV, AIDS, and other STDs, they don't care if the people they infect are straight, homosexual, male, female, old, young, white, black, Asian, Latino, Native, etc. Unlike humans, they don't discriminate. Anybody can get them.
/and gays do target children! look at all the gay priests!/
And heterosexuals do target children! Just look at Mary-Kay Letourneau, Brian David Mitchell (Elizabeth Smart case), Phillip Craig Garrido (Jaycee Lee Dugard case), Roman Polanski, the FLDS elders, Woody Allen, and so many others. By golly, what are we thinking, letting our children watch shows with straight men as role models? Don't we know that we are allowing their minds to be ravaged by pedophilia?
/you are delusional if you think gays should be allowed into normal culture...they should be shunned and exiled./
The Jews and the Native Americans would like to have a word with you. As would the Japanese-Americans who were stripped of their homes and businesses and carted off to internment camps right here in this country, as well as Asian-Americans of other East Asian backgrounds who were mistaken for Japanese. And let's not forget Arab-Americans and American Muslims who, if not being shipped off to Gitmo themselves or not having a relative who has been detained there, still live with the potential threat of that happening to them because of post-9/11 paranoia.
In other words, STFU, Mike. It's clear that you have no idea what you're talking about.
