One of the people in the building next door to the fiancee's and I's apartment is a church going, booze drinking, gun trotting Christian redneck who will scares the daylights out of me (luckily he's moving out next week to another state.)
Now is that all Christians? Nope. You see there are violent maniacs on both sides. What I do know however is there is less than a percent of inmates that are atheists, while we make up around 8% to 16% of the population. Small minority outside the jails, even smaller inside.

You wouldn't know an atheist is one came up and kicked you in the nuts. Which wouldn't happen anyway, since most atheists I know are opposed to violence, myself included.
And I never said I don't believe in Jesus. He was a valid historic figure and a great philosopher. I believe in most of his ideals, but I also believe he's long dead and going to stay that way.

And it's a filthy fucking lie. Given the percentages of Christians and atheists in this country, we would have a MUCH larger prison population, and there would be a higher percentage of prisoners who are atheist--much higher than the percentage of prisoners who are Christian.
Guess what? The percentage of prisoners who are atheist is almost nil according to every study. That alone is enough to blow your whole argument out of the water.

I know people who are Atheist and when it comes to religion they get annoyed when the subject comes up or just agree to disagree when it comes to religion and try to not discuss it all. However none of them have ever even threaten to harm or kill me because of my beliefs.
