Yeah, but the Wholly Babble is bunch of made up stories by a bunch of bronze age sheep shaggers, so what exactly is your point?
10/24/2009 1:23:21 AM
It goes like this:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion"
so unless you have a secular argument against gays, you lose.
10/24/2009 1:30:32 AM
If you don't know, then Google it.
10/24/2009 1:34:59 AM
But "Don't ask, don't tell" (despite being a rather flawed compromise, but let's not get into that), is much better than "Don't be, don't do!" It not only covers the situations where gays "don't do", but also situations where they actually "do but don't tell anyone"! As for "don't be", they can't change they way they are, so that's moot.
10/24/2009 1:42:41 AM
Yet another example of how your bible is in no way the basis of our government. Thank you for proving our points for us.

Nathan the Wise
Yeah, but Frank Sinatra said Do Be Do Be Do, so there.
10/24/2009 2:19:40 AM
I really don't understand the "Don't ask Don't Tell" policy
Sorry, can't help you there. It's four very common one-syllable words. We can't really dumb it down any more.
10/24/2009 2:20:03 AM
"Don't be, don't do" is an amazing policy.
Is this the advice you would have given to black people 50 years ago?
10/24/2009 2:22:34 AM
10/24/2009 2:38:30 AM
Apart from the fact that not everybody is a Christian or a Jew, what about why God makes them that way and doesn't give us a way to know whether they are or not?
10/24/2009 2:45:20 AM
"Don't Be Don't Do"
dooby dooby dooo
And fuck your lord. It is not mine. I don't care what it
thinks, because its a miserable, egotistical, cruel bastard
that does not deserve worship
(if it even exists).
10/24/2009 2:54:04 AM
We get told to cease being and people wonder how we got to be so uppitty.
10/24/2009 3:45:20 AM
Bible never mentions lesbians, so it must be cool.
10/24/2009 4:14:43 AM
Yeah, Jesus harped on and on about how you shouldn't be gay... Like a broken record. It overshadows all the "Love thy neighbor" and "He who is without sin" stuff.
10/24/2009 5:28:03 AM
Yeah, hehehehehehehehe, that's funny...
10/24/2009 5:44:32 AM
Why is it that there are so many fundies out there who sound like they're totally unsure of their own religion?
10/24/2009 6:20:33 AM
Yeah! You stick to your perceived rules, and the rest of us will stick to ours. Is that OK with you?
In other words - Your god does not dictate my life!
10/24/2009 6:36:29 AM
"I really don't understand the "Don't ask Don't Tell" policy "
It was placed there because a lot of gay and lesbian servicemembers were being booted out of the military for being gay or lesbian and that lowered our troop levels. The DADT policy was a comprimise between the gay and lesbian activists and Christian conservatives on who can serve the military.
Yes, the Bible does make a rule against homosexual activity, but it also makes a bunch of other rules in the Old Testament that we, both straight and gay, do not follow.
Anyway, since you're talking about how gays and lesbians shouldn't be in the military, how about you come with me into this military recruiting station here so an upstanding person such as yourself can join?
*walking forward, but stops and turns around*
Hey, where did cocopea90452 go?
10/24/2009 6:57:12 AM
How about, don't ask, don't tell, don't give a shit?
10/24/2009 7:12:01 AM
"Doesn't the word of the Lord already contain a policy about all Gays and Lesbians:
I think it is called "Don't Be Don't Do"!"
That only applies to gay men. Apparently, even desert dwellers of a few thousand years ago appreciated hot lesbian action.
Not to mention that your Wholly Babble doesn't say, "Don't Be, Don't Do" it says you're supposed to put them to death. Congratulations, you now have a one-way ticked to the fiery depths of hell for having changed the message of your precious book. It mentions this quite clearly in the section you apparently haven't gotten around to reading yet despite worshiping the thing.
10/24/2009 7:31:40 AM
It also contains a policy on wearing clothes made of mixed fibres; do you faithfully follow that? If not, why not? You're not just a hate-filled hypocrite, are you?
10/24/2009 7:52:20 AM
So far, the policy is neither sensible or effective.
10/24/2009 7:54:24 AM
I read about the afterlife
Oh that's right, I completely forgot that the Treaty of Tripoli never existed. Therefore, the "word of the lord" IS relevant to the laws of the United States.
Lawlz. Just kidding.
10/24/2009 8:01:22 AM
I think it is called "Don't Be Don't Do"!
Yeah, 'cause that was so effective.
Also, doesn't the Word of the Lord contain policies on everything from slavery to the wearing of gold and pearls by women? Do you follow all of those, too? Didn't think so.
10/24/2009 8:06:11 AM
I really don't understand
I'm sure you say that about a lot of things.
10/24/2009 8:06:50 AM
