*President Obama to end "don't ask, don't tell" policy.*
All Obama does is attempt to appease those who actively and willfully engage in sinful practices of this nation and world. He clearly only has a need to be liked, no matter how immoral his decisions. I wonder if he can possibly do anything I would agree with as president. I'm sure the military will love this decision.

Well, considering that the policy has been costing them waaay too money to enforce just for an irrational, discriminatory purpose, then yeah, I believe that the military would love it.
Well, ya know, gays have been in the military since at least the times of Julius Caesar. And will be here long after we're gone. So, it's a pretty redundant and costly policy.
Also, did you realize that criminals can serve in the army?
I swear if Obama declared a National Rapture Day these retards would find something to complain about.
When is Obama going to shut down Rapture Ready anyway? I can't believe it has taken this long for the persecution to begin.

It's hotly denied, by the military itself, of course, but my dad went to San Quentin for murder and armed robbery. He was let out after 3 years to join the army and was sent to Germany. This was WW2, Archie Bunker's war, and he had to go to the war zone itself to clinch the deal. To make a long story short, he spent more time in teletype repair school in the states, and in London after the war waiting for a ship home, than the time spent close to the front, and yes, he made it back OK. But to affirm your statement, yes, he was with a whole lot of jailbirds that got the same sort of deal.
I was in the navy during Viet Nam and we had quite a few guys on our ship that made similar deals with judges = jail or join up, son, though I suspect they tended to be lesser offenses.
Oh, and BTW, does anybody think there haven't always been gay guys in the navy . . . I mean, really? My guess is ever since two guys got on the same boat, maybe something in that salt air.
A) I'll believe it when I see it.
B) When are you idiots going to get off your high horse and stop acting like the homosexuality clause is somehow the only immutable sin in the bible? You've cherry-picked virtually everything else, you have no standing for saying you can't cherry-pick this.
The military, with some exceptions, aren't going to care that the guy next to them isn't straight.
Actually, they'll probably APPROVE of the fact that if he says he's not straight he won't get sent home anymore.
In the middle of a war, you don't send military personnel home for banging the wrong sex. It's strategically idiotic.
Of course, the Bush administration sent some of their most highly qualified Arabic translators (like that's saying much, they didn't bother asking what the difference between a Sunni and a Shiite was, their highly qualified Arabic translators were probably people who'd read through Al-Kitaab a few times) home for being gay, so "strategically idiotic" is a precedent.
I'm sure the military will love this decision.
Maybe you haven't heard but it's not at all necessary for the troops to like a commander-in-chief's orders. And let's be absolutely frank here: the military, beyond its admirable sacrifice, is an organization of hired killers . Worrying about the sexual proclivities of hired killers seems at best to be hypocritical and at worst is ridiculous.
Obama's an asshat who's sold out the LGBT community. And this arsehole is complaining about what little he's done?
Seems that Bambi can't keep anyone happy. Poor Bambi - perhaps he should actually have acted on principle, rather than trying to compromise with the Rabid Right.
I polled the members of my unit and it was very close. In my poll, with a margin of error + or - 0, out of 57 respondants, 49% didn't give a flyin' fuck about sexual orientation and 51% didn't give 2 goddamns about sexual orientation. So, you can see, we're divided almost right down the middle on this issue with the twogoddamners having a slight edge (but by no means a mandate).

(Speaking of polls, members and units makes me feel funny in a nice way.)
Confused?
