Hitler a right wing?? I think you lost your marbles....Hitler was a communist dictator that murder over 6 million people....Obama left wing, socialist, communist, thinks its ok to kill babies and soon elderly, I don't see any right wingers doing this.

History FAIL. Now I may not be a subject matter expert on history, so correct me if i'm wrong.

After WWI two major political parties emerged in Gemany: the Communist Party and the National Socialist Party (aka the Nazi Party). Hitler was vehemetly opposed to the Communist party and succesfully led a political campaign to get him elected as Chancellor of Germany under the Nazi Party. When the President of Germany died, he accended to the seat of President and began to expand his powers and centralize everything to him. The rest is (hopefully) known history.

Hitler had right-wing tendencies. Look at the goofy neo-nazis today. Which way do they tend to lean politically?

A few of the things that are wrong your post, Sari:

1.) This one is really nit-picky, but two question marks? Really? Did you think that using just one wouldn't get your point across? There's nothing technically wrong with it, I guess, but it's annoying.
2.) Don't abuse the ellipses that way.
3.) Also, you should use "it's" not "its". You see "it's" is short for "it is" and has an apostraphe in it.
4.) Holy sentence fragments!
5.) Wow, I've always wondered if there was anyone who actually believed in that ridiculous death panel nonsense. You are seriously hurting my hopes for humanity.

You forgot the Social Democratic Party, which as far as I know, was centre-ist with regards to it's policies...
Originally, the Nazi party, was called the Deutche ArbietsPartie (German Workers Party, or German Labour Party depending on Translation) or DAP for short...
Hitler then covertly infiltrated this party, on orders of the remnants of the German Army, & proceeded to subvert it, thus turning it into the National Socalist Deutsche ArbietsPartie (NS-DAP for short).
Ironically, many who genuinely believed in the original concept of "National Socialism", that Hitler pre-1933 espoused, inside the Nazi party, were executed in the "Night of The Long Knives", as Hitler perceived them as a threat to himself...

*- That's something I'll never comprehend: US Right-wing Christian Fundies (Protestants) agreeing with Catholic (The 'Antichrist' to fundies) doctrine. Are they trying to out-Catholicise the Catholic church?! If anything, right-wing fundies should be defending the abortion clinic doctors/staff and patients from other 'Pro-Choicers'. The fact they're as 'Pro-Life' as Catholics therefore contradicts the whole idea of their beliefs being opposed to (ergo 'Protestant') that of the Pope, and Catholicism as a whole. But as I always say:

Sorry, there's nothing left-wing or communist about Hitler; he zealously renounced communists and lefties, in fact. Hell, it's more accurate to call Stalin right-wing, even though he was a Marxist, because the anti-authoritarian socialists of the time (ranging from Leon Trotsky to Emma Goldman) thought of him as a right-wing extremist, and indeed, he fits the right-wing authoritarian mould.

As for Obama, he's only left-wing by your insane American standards, by which what most of the world considers centrist is radical left (i.e. Kucinich) and what most of the world considers lunatic fringe right is mainstream. By European standards - those of the people who have any right to pontificate on fascist and Marxist-Leninist oppression - Obama is right-wing and the Republicans are even more right-wing.

As for right-wingers, I'm guessing you haven't heard of Pinochet then. Or, shit, any of the brutal dictatorships your boy Reagan funded and supported. Or your own right-wingers like Nixon, the Bushes and - again - Reagan, who didn't have the best track record in foreign policy.

@Anonymous first page poster: Uh, no. You didn't even get it right; it's National Socialist German Workers' Party, not the "soacilist workers party" [sic], and in any case everyone understands they were socialist in the same way the Democratic Republic of the Congo is democratic. In fact, that was the partial inspiration for Orwell's doublespeak.
