[In response to "But what happens to the child? that dies of cancer or is abducted or murdered, though many people prayed for him/her? What was God thinking while watching over that child? I guess it was just part of His divine and perfect plan"]
It does fit into his plan. Maybe that kidnapper realized what he was doing was wrong, so he turned to God and repented? then he would have returned the child. The kid who dies of cancer, maybe that's child's plight caused him/her to turn to God, along with the rest of their family. Don't confuse God with Satan, okay? God is good, but Satan is evil. Satan causes the bad things to? happen, not God.

God: What should I do today? Oh I know, I'll give an innocent child inoperable cancer that will cause him to lose all his hair and cause him immense pain, so that he and his family will bow down and worship me to satisfy my bloated ego. And millions of Christians will still think I'm the good guy! This 'god' racket sure is nice!
"Satan causes the bad things to happen, not God.", eh? So, uh, who caused Satan to happen again?
God is good, but Satan is evil. Satan causes the bad things to? happen, not God.
God just *lets* them happen, because he's such a good sport.
Does the poster realise that as God created Satan, according to the poster's argument, and if Satan is responsible for making bad things to happen, therefore the ultimate responsibility for evil is God's, as Satan is merely carrying out God's will, right...?
I Think not, somehow...
Even if Satan causes bad things to happen -- they still must be cohorts for it to fit into god's plan. And couldn't it be said that God is just as bad for not preventing this thing from happening? He is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. He has no excuse to, at least, stop this incident.
Therefore, God can't be good.
Joseph Mengele tortured thousands of people, then escaped to live a full and presumably healthy life in South America, frolicking at the beach at the time of his death, IIRC. Why do you think God would make an innocent child suffer through cancer and die, just to turn the child and his family to Him, but let monsters like Mengele live long, healthy lives?
If somebody abducted and murdered my child, and later came to God because of that, that'd make it all okay and make me feel much better.
Oh wait ... no, it wouldn't ...
Maybe that kidnapper realized what he was doing was wrong, so he turned to God and repented? then he would have returned the child.
What if the kidnapper doesn't and ends up raping or even killing the child?
The kid who dies of cancer, maybe that's child's plight caused him/her to turn to God, along with the rest of their family.
Curing the child would have caused their family to turn to god. Why didn't god think of that?
Don't confuse God with Satan, okay?
Satan didn't have fourty children eaten by a bear because a few of them made fun of a bald guy.
And maybe the kidnapper DIDN'T realize or it, or realized it and didn't fucking care, or thought that God approved.
Why would the kid have faith in a God so impotent that he can't save him?
Ummm......
Exactly what did Satan do that was so evil? Stand up for himself? Decide it was "better to rule in hell than to serve in heaven"? Bring us knowledge (if you buy the snake=Satan bit).
God himself said that he created evil.
'Maybe that kidnapper realized what he was doing was wrong, so he turned to God and repented?'
Fat chance. The kid could have recognized him; picked him out of a police line-up. I do not think for a second that a kidnapper would repent.
'The kid who dies of cancer, maybe that's child's plight caused him/her to turn to God, along with the rest of their family.'
Not likely, unless they already believed. In which case, it's STILL not God's 'plan'.
Well, then, is gay marriage slowly being legalized also God coaxing people into being more faithful? With your argument, anything you don't agree with or support happening is really just god wanting people to be better Christians. Then what does Satan do? This argument doesn't even hold its own water. Many on here make sense, GIVEN some incorrect fact or intolerant opinion is true, but this one doesn't even do that.
The way you idiots describe God, I'd have to think that Satan is getting a raw deal and is actually the good guy.
If either of them actually existed, that is.
Confused?
