Once again, I have to ask "why do lesbians look so damn MANLY?". Since they "like women", you would think that they would be the most FEMININE creatures on Earth!
Maybe they're really closet straights, or maybe "gender nutrality" has screwed them up.

Hey, I'm a lesbian, and I'm one of the most feminine uber-girly creatures on earth!
On the other hand, I'm only attracted to other girly girl lesbians, and can't find any to save my life... so in moments of frustration, I HAVE had mean thoughts similar to the fundie here. Heh...
Once again, I have to ask "why do lesbians look so damn MANLY?". Since they "like women", you would think that they would be the most FEMININE creatures on Earth!
Not really. By that logic, then, men who also "like women" should want to copy femininity too, amirite?
Being sexually attracted to other women does not necessarily mean that you want to emulate femininity.
Yes, every lesbian is a diesel dyke, every gay man is a sashaying queen, and every Chrisian is the bastion of morality. Gotcha.
Not buying into cliched, over~the-top, one~dimensional stereotypes makes you an uptight, ultra~PC censor with no sense of humor!
"Since they "like women", you would think that they would be the most FEMININE creatures on Earth! "
Non sequitur. There is a huge variation in peoples' appearances and behaviours. You, for instance, appear to be a fool and behave like a bigoted, empty-headed moron.
"Maybe they're really closet straights, or maybe "gender nutrality" has screwed them up."
Non sequitur. Lesbian women should look like the essence of femininity but heterosexual women should look like men?! You're very confused.
They've done experiments on rats where, while still in the womb, a female rat fetus is given a big dose of testosterone. The rat develops as female, but has many physical and personality traits in common with males, including the desire to be "on top" while mating and a predilection for mating with other females.
If this same thing happens with some female human fetuses, I wouldn't at all be surprised to see them looking (and acting) "manly."
I'm not manly at all.
I'm very girly.
Well, because they are hockey playing, man dressing tomboy failures.
...Or just because you have a prerendered opinion of lesbians.
Whatever your problem is, I'm sure there are medications for it.
I'm not a "girly" girl.
And you know what, men actually like women who don't fit into the "girly" mold. I spent an hour with the bf today just talking comic books. Am I any less a woman, just because I'm a geek?
Why do you care what they look like?
They're lesbians. If you're male, you're not getting in on any of that anyway. If you're female, your attitude shows that you're not getting in on any of that anyway.
Finally, lesbians are getting some attention.
For the rest of it, [citation needed].
What? Stereotyping failure! I am a lesbian, and I cannot fathom cutting my long, curly hair or having a wardrobe that consists entirely of combat boots and flannel shirts.
And since when are straight women supposed to look "manly?" If that's the case, then why, due to my raging attraction to girly girls, do I always, always end up in those unlucky situations where I fall for a straight girl? :(
But, really, why can't we all just look like how we want to look like?
"Once again, I have to ask "why do lesbians look so damn MANLY?". Since they "like women", you would think that they would be the most FEMININE creatures on Earth!"
I'm a lesbian.I'm not extreamly feminine but I'm not overly boyish either.I like my hair long.I love corsets, skirts and on somedays wearing makeup. But I also absolutely love baseball, comic books, and video games as you'll often find many other women straight,bi and lesbian do.I work in a factory with quite a few other women who are not only straight, married but sports fans themselves.
"Maybe they're really closet straights,"
Maybe your a moron who was dropped on the head one to many times as a baby.
"or maybe "gender nutrality" has screwed them up."
I was born a girl.My mother raised me a girl.To this day a girl I remain and I'm happy with it.So I'm just going to assume you have issues with transgendered individulas.
@WMDKitty
"Am I any less a woman, just because I'm a geek?"
Absolutely not! My gf made super geek on the original geek test and I know she must have been tired when she took it cos she's at least an extreme geek! I love her to bits and I wouldn't change a thing about her. Geeky girls are sexy! ;o)
Wow, we sure have a lot of lesbians on FSTDT. Not that there's anything WRONG with that...
You don't have it backwards, KHarn, you just have it wrong. Gender expression and sexuality are like race and religion. Sure, you find some correlations, but there are way more exceptions and there's really no point in stereotyping.
Or maybe it's just the bull-dykes you notice, and not us bisexuals or the "lipstick lesbians."
Just like you don't believe in bears.
"Since they "like women", you would think that they would be the most FEMININE creatures on Earth!"
I like women. I have a dick. Explain, please.
"Since they "like women", you would think that they would be the most FEMININE creatures on Earth!"
Uhh, if things worked that way, wouldn't all the straight men be effeminate?
Maybe because you only recognize "manly" looking women as lesbians? Since I doubt seriously you actually know any lesbians that are out to you, you probably just assume any "manly" looking woman you see is a lesbian, and that they are the only lesbians there are.
You're wrong. There are, indeed, some very "manly" lesbians, but also some quite "womanly" lesbians.
And like all the straight women you know, they don't want to have sex with you, either.
Where is K seeing all these lesbians - hanging out in lesbian bars or something? I mean most lesbians don't walk around with a big "I'm a lesbian" sign on them. I'm reminded of a well-known story about a college class where they were discussing sexuality. A short film showed a lesbian couple. One was a beautiful long-haired blond and the other had short cropped hair and manly clothes. A guy in the class asked a question about "the lesbian". The teacher said "which one? They're both lesbians. They live together." The guy was astonished. "No! You mean that beautiful blond is a lesbian too?" Moral: If you think any woman in manly clothes is a lesbian, of course you're going to think all lesbians wear manly clothes.
So, because I've heard some describe her as a bit mannish-looking, this actress is secretly a lesbian?

What about this one with her super-short hair?

By the way, my hair is cut like hers, but a tad longer. I just need to find the perfect little black dress and some nice sweaters and my wardrobe will be complete. *watches KHarn's head explode*
Maybe you would find some less "manly" lesbians if you actaully went out and talked to any.
[Since they "like women", you would think that they would be the most FEMININE creatures on Earth! ]
By this logic then straight men should be feminine too.
First of all, that's a stereotype.
Second, that implies that straight women and gay men should be butch, and lesbians and straight men should be feminine.
"Once again, I have to ask "why do lesbians look so damn MANLY?". Since they "like women", you would think that they would be the most FEMININE creatures on Earth!"
Two Words: Lipstick Lesbians.
"Maybe they're really closet straights, or maybe "gender nutrality" has screwed them up."
Well, women in the porn industry are mostly bi definition, Bi.
...I'll get my coat (after I've watched these hotties makinga da schweet lurve!)
What on earth is a "closet straight"? You're honestly arguing that some women are uncomfortable with their... heterosexuality (y'know, since society is so disapproving and unpleasant toward straight people) so they dress up like stereotypical butch lesbians?
And in Rand McNally, hamburgers eat people!
Once again, I have to ask "why do lesbians look so damn MANLY?
Because you're too stupid to realise that lesbians can be perfectly indistinguishable from straight women most of the time (unless they tell you, or you happen to walk in on them), and thus you can only spot the masculine ones and assume that all lesbians must be that way.
Portia de Rossi is lesbian.

Jocelyn Wildenstein is straight.

You may want to re-evaluate your statements, KHarn.
Maybe you're "not getting the point," or "looking for something to be wrong with them," or "stereotyping," perhaps.
It must be the ones in your imagination.
That's a very interesting imagination you've got there, always thinking about lesbians who look like guys.
Freud would have a field day with you.
Once again, I have to ask "why do christians act so damn HATEFUL?" Since they "like Jesus", you would think they would be the most LOVING creatures on Earth!
Maybe they really don't give a rat's ass about Jesus and just use "god" as a way of scaring everyone into living how THEY want everyone to live, or maybe... no, that's pretty much it.
Confused?
