(In response to a blog post by a theologian who claims it's more important for Christians to put effort into being good people than to obsess over spiritual activity and other obligations of their faith:)

That was a terrible suggestion for any person to give, and there is no doubt you are trying to undermind the authority of scripture. The bible says to study [the bible] to show yourselves approved unto God. Naturally we are supposed to do good unto others as well, but not at the expense of growing in our Christian walk. Discouraging Christians from reading their bible and praying is something you will have to answer for my friend.
