It it is time, I suggest, to stop the practice of allowing Muslims to serve in the U.S. military. The reason is simple: the more devout a Muslim is, the more of a threat he is to national security. Devout Muslims, who accept the teachings of the Prophet as divinely inspired, believe it is their duty to kill infidels. Yesterday's massacre is living proof. And yesterday's incident is not the first fragging incident involving a Muslim taking out his fellow U.S. soldiers.

Of course, most U.S. Muslims don't shoot up their fellow soldiers. Fine. As soon as Muslims give us a foolproof way to identify their jihadis from their moderates, we'll go back to allowing them to serve. You tell us who the ones are that we have to worry about, prove you're right, and Muslims can once again serve. Until that day comes, we simply cannot afford the risk. You invent a jihadi-detector that works every time it's used, and we'll welcome you back with open arms.

This is not Islamophobia, it is Islamo-realism.

If you agree to do the same with Christians, I have no real issues with it.

Once you Christians come up with a fool proof way to identify the fundies and bar them from joining the military, I'm fine with that.

That is not Christphobia, it is Christ-realism.

There are crazy people who will do these kinds of things no matter what group you look at.

So how about we just ban people in general from the military until we have a foolproof method to separate these people?

It's not humanphobia, it is human-realism.

Pragmatic bigotry.

Actually this makes basic sense.
A Christian only army or a Christian /Atheist army would see no need to kill the infidel within. Only the infidel without.

An Atheist army, taught humanity, would only kill those who decided to kill, without any factual logical reason, those who deemed harm on others.

Its not perfect, but apart from a 2000 year old carpeneter.....what is perfect?

A good start would be to look beyond religion and pay more attention to geography. Next time you go to war, try defending your country from the invading forces on your own soil .

It it is time, I suggest, to stop the practice of allowing Fundamentalist Christians to serve in the U.S. military. The reason is simple: the more devout a Fundie is, the more prone he is to use taxpayer-funded military equipment to blow up abortion clinics.

Fix'd.

Tommi - A Christian-only/atheist-only/Hindu-only etc army would probably just end up with attacks, harassment, and the like happening over skin colour. Or sexuality. Or sex/gender. And if we manage to eliminate all the prejudices of the modern day, then people will start discriminating based on eye colour or fingernail length.

It it is time, I suggest, to stop the practice of allowing Catholics to serve in the U.S. military. The reason is simple: the more devout a Catholic is, the more of a threat he is to national security. Devout Catholics, who believe that the Pope is Christ's vicar on earth, believe it is their duty to place all world governments under the Pope's heel.

Same shit, different decade.

What's that, you say? Them nasty darkies and their religion ain't right 'cause they ain't like you?

Don't let the school where I work see that, Bryan. I won't report your hate organization's humble little site, but they're pretty fast with their Internet-content-filter banhammer without my help anyway. In no time, you'll be in good company with your buddies Fred Phelps, Stormfront, NOM, Focus on the Family, the Traditional Values Coalition, and the BNP.

Actually, I generally do object to censoring your bigotry as a matter of principle, believe it or not. I challenged the inclusion of a few "offensive" sites I frequent that are on the school's blacklist (Urban Dictionary, Engrish.com, Fark), and I got 'em removed. To be honest, though, I did it because I have nothing to do at work sometimes and need to pass the time somehow. (Surprisingly, reading articles on Wikipedia and TV Tropes actually got boring to me after a while.)

But since you guys don't stick up for my rights as a gay man--actually, you do the exact opposite--I'll just kindly return the favor. :) Maybe eventually you'll actually learn what my mama's always told me ever since I was a wee boy: don't make enemies of your neighbors; you may need 'em as your friends one day.

What am I saying? Of course you won't. Hell, your bigotry and hate has finally sent you guys teetering dangerously close to irrelevancy once and for all, yet you still haven't learnt why you should stick up for everyone's freedom if you value your own. I think you might already censored at work anywho, since it seriously seems like someone in charge of the blacklist has a really big soft spot for teh gayz.

Personally, I see the shooting at Fort Hood as another example, alongside 9/11, all of the abortion clinic bombings, the shooting at the Tennessee UU church, and countless other religiously motivated acts of terrorism as a justification for the elimination of all religion. Just outlaw religion until we can get a way for people to worship whichever god they see fit without trying to impose it on others, and then we'll be fine.

It seems to be all about religion.
If there were no religions,
there would be no religious problems.

Then stupid people will always find other ways to cause stupid problems.

It it is time, I suggest, to stop the practice of allowing Christians to live in the United States. The reason is simple: the more devout a Christian is, the more of a threat he is to national security. Devout Christians, who accept the Bible as divinely inspired, believe it is their duty to kill abortion doctors. George Tiller's murder is living proof. And Tiller's murder is not the first public incident involving a Christian taking out his fellow American citizens.

Of course, most U.S. Christians don't shoot up their fellow citizens. Fine. As soon as Christians give us a foolproof way to identify their murderers from their moderates, we'll go back to allowing Christians to live here. You tell us who the ones are that we have to worry about, prove you're right, and Christians can once again live here. Until that day comes, we simply cannot afford the risk. You invent a murderer-detector that works every time it's used, and we'll welcome you back with open arms.

This is not Christophobia, it is Christo-realism.

Do devout Christians believe it's their duty to kill atheists?

I have invented a jihadi-detector. It's made with bits of real panther. 60% of the time, it works every time.

If watching movies, playing video games, and reading comics has taught me anything, it's that the logical choice is to create cloned super soldiers, or giant robots.

I have it on good authority that Japan's military consists of 2 Voltron-like robots (lions, not cars duh!), and 100 tentacle monsters. You don't see people flying planes into their buildings, either, primarily because they don't want their corpses to be tentacle raped.

I think they might have a few Power Rangers too.

Okay, replace every instance of the word Muslim or Islam with fundamentalist Christian and you have a better statement.

On second thought, yeah, you fundies can go on over to harm's way if you want. Leave the actual freedom lovers here.

As much as I think "Islamophobia" is a stupid idea, and as true as it is that virtually all terrorists are Muslims (for all you FSTDTers who think that the religions are the same), I don't think this is quite the right track.
