I could be wrong, and may well be, but I think the quote he refers to is God saying not to add to his word (not the gospels)- but it's in the OT, it doesn't even apply to the gospels which of course are in the NT.
Oh yes, and even if it's true re the gospels - what about the people who added the last chapters of Mark, i.e. the reseurrection stuff? And those who added the story of the woman taken in adultery?
