I have no idea what film you are talking about, I am sure I didn't see it and I can still guarantee you that it sucks.

For a fundamentalist to critique scientific research is either mean-spirited or stupid or both, but that doesn't stop them from trying, does it?

But you can always critique all films and social issues through your own Christian prism. And it's mean-spirited, or stupid, actually both.
Fuckwit.

It must be a requirement, in order to be a Christian, to have an IQ lower than 50!
Or at least a fundie.

This film looked like a royal, steaming stinker. And the submitter left out the next sentence, which is as lulzy in its way:
It's like a food critic that doesn't like spicy food critiquing a Mexican or Indian restaurant, and then reporting, "The food is too spicy."
Good try, but no - the proper analogy to work with your point would be like a German going into a Mexican or Indian restaurant and critiquing the food as "too spicy". And even then it's a really stupid point.
Unfortunately, you forgot that pesky First Amendment. You fail.
Also, from the same thread:
This film is FIreproof. If you don't like it- you hate Christians...
...or you just hate preachy bullshit? Either way.

@ Troy who is masquerading as Song
"Don't worry about who God is yet or even if He exists,"
I don't
"...just realize the universe needs a cause and can't come from nothing."
Why not? What makes you such an expert? And, for the thousandth time why should we apply this notion to the universe and not to your god?
"Let me know if you have reached that point yet."
Don't patronize me Troy.
"If you were to find a cause for radioactive decay or whatever, you would still say something else could happen all by itself."
And you point here is...? I mean, science always provides you with more questions to be answered. Religion may provide final answers, but they are meaningless answers, so why bother?
"Are you like a 3 year old?"
I said don't patronize me.
"There is observably proven trillions of causes in nature and no hard evidence something (in nature) comes from that which does not exist."
That doesn;t prove god. It only means that there are more questions to be answered. An inquisitive mind embraces this fact. I dull mind hides its face in the corner and screams for an easy answer. that is all your god is, an easy answer to soothe your fears.
"Why shut your mind down to this fact?"
See my above response and tell me who is shutting their mind.
"Why don't you like fact-based overwhelming preponderance of evidence that is beyond a reasonable doubt?"
I do, that is why I reject your god. Your god is a supernatural entity and thus incapable of being examined by natural evidence.
"e.g. throwing a baseball. Try it out, throw a baseball."
And that would prove what now?
"Why do you need to know all things to know if the universe requires a cause?"
Who the @#$! said that?
"That's stupid."
I agree. Why did you bring it up?
"Stop avoiding the question. Only God could know all things."
Why should I assume that god exists? Your screed begins by telling me not to think about him.
"You make yourself out to be God then."
Your god does not exist. if I am wrong, then show me your god.
"How obnoxious and pompous!"
But spamming this stupid screed on every thread you can find isn't? You've got some weird ideas of those words mean.
"You don't care about logic do you?"
Do you even know what that word "Logic" means? Your screed does not suggest that you do.

Stealing my screen handle is a very immature reaction to being called on your nonsense.

So, Christians have no right to have an opinion about Sharia Laws, then?
You critique what you experience, regardless of special insight. Sure, you should perhaps refrain from being too dogmatic about things you know little about.
As we all know, fundies have never attacked or belittled anything they are not thoroughly familiar with, as they always practice what they preach.
Oh, wait, that felt wrong somehow...

"For a non-Christian to critique a Christian film to me is either mean-spirited or stupid, or both"
And for a Christian to criticise others for having a different belief - or lack of such - to me is either mean-spirited or stupid, or both.
A clear case of not thinking before speaking. Thus
Hypocrisy, thy name is Fundie.
Also, not so much opening one's mouth and inserting one's foot in such, but doing the same,
then proceeding with the juxtaposition of cranium and anus.
Besides, I don't need to watch any & all 'Reality TV' to know it's complete bollocks. In the same way I don't need to believe the Bible to know it's complete bullshit from start to finish.

Yeah, or red-headed people criticising movies. Nobody in those groups can possibly validly judge movies. Oh wait.

So, let me see if I got all this. Here is an xian, critiquing a non xian, about critiquing an xian film, and YOU (the xian) critique the criticizer on his critique. Yeah. makes sense to me.
I vote for irony of the month award.
