(Explaining why a particular user MUST be a liberal)
On beauty, the subject was God's creation and Philip was adamant that its beauty (specifically autumn foliage) is in the eye's the beholder. It isn't; it's objectively beautiful, and it is a liberal/atheistic position to deny it.

"objectively beautiful"?

Are you seeing it now, Conservapedia? "Everything that agrees with me is conservative and therefore favorable. Everything that disagrees with me is heresy."
That said, autumn foliage is beautiful and anyone who denies it is an America-hating conservative.
"It isn't; it's objectively beautiful"
No, beauty is a subjective judgement. You're too mentally ill to understand.
Btw, I saw you on the Colbert Report; seems the old adage is true - give them enough rope and they *will* hang themselves.
Sings:
All things dull and ugly,
All creatures short and squat,
All things rude and nasty,
The Lord God made the lot
Each little snake that poisons,
Each little wasp that stings,
He made their brutish venom.
He made their horrid wings
All things sick and cancerous,
All evil great and small,
All things foul and dangerous,
The Lord God made them all.
Each nasty little hornet,
Each beastly little squid--
Who made the spikey urchin?
Who made the sharks? He did!
All things scabbed and ulcerous,
All pox both great and small,
Putrid, foul and gangrenous,
The Lord God made them all.
So now anyone who disagrees that beauty is in the eye of the beholder (isn't that biblical?) is a Liberal.
Damn that site is eventually going to end up being Andy talking to his sock puppets.
Edit:
Never mind, it's from Plato. Damn evil liberal Greeks.
Well, Assfly thinks objective means 'what Mom says', so Phyllis must have been a big fan of the Fall. Perhaps Assfly could supply us with a list of objectively beautiful things, so that we may know what it is permitted to approve of.
"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world." 1 John 2.15-16.
In other words, what we find beautiful in this world are things which God in Heaven finds inferior; attachment to them leads us away from Him. And yet, if there was an objective standard of beauty, it would be the same in Heaven and on Earth. Sorry, Assfly, but your own Bible denies your lunacy this time.
(Or is that one of those biased liberal passages that Assfly is going to alter?)
Edit: I do wish people would stop submitting Conservapaedia quotes to FSTDT. Andy's player base is about 90% liberal at this point; if we stopped paying attention to him, his site would disappear overnight.
OMG, people here don't believe in objective beauty. FSTDT is filled with liberal atheists!
Schlafly was right!
/obviously to be read in a sarcastic tone (especially the part about Schlafly being correct about something)
James 1:11 - "For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant; its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed."
So the bible says when the blossom falls from the trees, they aren't beautiful any more. Is there a lot of autumn blossom around your way, Andy?
Genesis 2:9 - "And the LORD God made all kinds of trees grow out of the groundtrees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food."
So trees were created to please the eye, not with an absolute measure of beauty. In fact, throughout the bible it talks of people and things finding favour in the eyes of another or in the eyes of God. This is explicit indication that it is the other's judgement of the first that is important, not some absolute set of criteria.
It's really pathetic the way Andrew continually ties himself into knots trying to maintain his delusion that liberals are atheists and are never Christian.
Having said that, WTF does anyone's opinion of the aesthetic appeal of fall foliage have to do with their poiitcal ideology, anyway? Sounds someone's obsessions are getting out of hand. Seek treatment, Andrew. Mommy messed with your head.
A lot of people like Summer and think the sunshine is beautiful.
I think Summer is ugly and boring.
Ball's in your court, Assfly.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
