Quote# 686

This problem indeed does not lie with the atheists to disprove God, because he can't be disproved by any idea you guys come up with. The proof he IS there is out there today. Take September 11. About an estimated 50,000 people work there daily. On September 11, an estimated 45,000 people were NOT there because they were sick, at a church meeting, getting doughnuts, etc., and a majority of these people were born again Christians. Coincedence?

Or how about the fact that the attack occurred early enough in the morning that not all of the offices there had opened yet?

Partly coincidence (i.e., luck), partly early enough that a lot of offices weren't open yet, and partly a gross distortion of figures here in the first place (especially the claim that most of the remaining 45,000 were born-again Christians, which would surely be almost impossible to ascertain even if it were true, which I strongly doubt). From what I recall reading at the time, the buildings were a little less than fully staffed at the time, but nothing like down to a mere 1/10 normal capacity!

Forgot to mention, the planes hit high enough that of the people there, anyone a few floors below (far enough to escape the initial fireball) probably got out relatively unscathed.

Well that makes change from the 'Jew conspiracy' that says the Jews did it and were all in on it, which was why none of them turned up for work.

Just as dumb, but at least it's a new and slightly less ugly kind of dumb!

Atheists can't disprove God, true. But that's because the existence of a diety falls under faith, not proof. It can neither be proven nor disproven. All you can do is agree to disagree.

Yeah, that makes sense!
Instead of stopping the attacks from happening god just keeps the people busy elsewhere!
Genius!

I'd love to know where you'd find 45K born agains in midtown Manhattan... I'm not saying you wouldn't in a city of 8 million people, but it would be very, very hard to get that many together in one place. (Most of them are probably bridge-and-tunnel anyway...)

Coincidence? No, just [citation needed].

They were at a church meeting on a Tuesday morning?

The way I heard it, most people who stayed home that day were Jews.

According to that story, American agencies would not listen to Moussad's (nor the French, the German or the Taliban) warnings, so they at least pulled their own people out.

Wonder why the FBI would not extend the same courtesy to you.

Illiteracy?

Well, clearly the fundies were in it with Al Qaida. No wonder no one can find Bin Laden - he's hiding out in the basement of some baptist church below the Mason-Dixon line :-)

I would say it is a coincidence if you consider that the majority of the US population, and probably that of New York are BA Christians.

Thus we can predict statistically...

blah blah blah...

... And that there was actually a slightly large proportion of missing Voodoo idol worshippers than expected, which leads us to conclude Voodoo must be the one true religion.

You can't disprove the flying pink Elephant that follows me around! So it must be real.

So, according to some truthers all the Jews working in the WTC stayed away that day* and that is evidence that the Jews/zionists/Israel/whatever were behind it all.

According to you, all the born-again Christians working in the WTC stayed away that day and that is evidence that your god was watching over them.

Huh.

*That’s a hoax, by the way.

The ones who flew into the towers believed in the same Abrahamic God that you do, stupid.

The burden of proof lies with the ones making a claim, not with the ones who are skeptical to the claim.

There were REALLY long lines at Dunkin' Donuts that morning. I didn't think anything of it at the time...

Does that include the married man who skipped work that morning to visit his girlfriend? As I recall his wife called him in a panic to ask where he was. The man, who had been, uhm, distracted and missed the news report answered, "I'm at work, why?"

I'm just kidding of course. Oh the story appears to be true, but that hardly disqualifies the man from the alleged majority. As every born-again Christian knows, once you've been born again, god doesn't care what you do.

"Coincedence?"

No. Because it's 'Coincidence', you educationally subhuman twat.

And if a 'God' exists, why couldn't he have prevented 9/11 from happening in the first place? No II.

Ergo, God disproved. Yes.

And the 3,000 that died were all evil, godless sinners, right?
