And his mother was born in ... ?
(Never mind that the last time I looked, Hawaii was one of the US of A).
If you go see the link, you'll see that they added into their definition that BOTH parents must be american citizens.
They are bullshitters and nothing more.
The citizenship of his parents is utterly irrelevant. It's also totally irrelevant if he was technically a British subject from birth.
All that matters is that he was born in the U.S., which he very obviously was.
Precedent is not on their side. When Orly Taitz tried a similar suit, not only was it tossed out, she was fined several thousand dollars for wasting the Cort's time. She was also told a court of law is not a place for a purely political agenda, something a practicing attourney should know.
SmithCommaJohn said "The citizenship of his parents is utterly irrelevant."
I respectfully disagree. If someone is born outside the U.S, she/he is still a natural-born U.S. citizen if a parent was a citizen.
So yes, it was legal for John McCain (born in Panama) to run for President of the U.S.
I still don't get why they're still fighting this now after the inauguration. If Obama got kicked out of office it wouldn't mean McCain gets to retroactively win the election, Biden would just become president. Unless they're going to start claiming Biden's not a citizen either.
They wouldn't dare. They can't even think of "President Pelosi" without emptying the contents of all their internal organs.
But seriously, sometimes it's like they think they can magically change reality by refusing to accept what's been proven over and over again.

Yes, in this case it is completely irrelevant. SmithCommaJohn is talking about Obama, who was born in Hawaii, part of the United States. His parents' citizenship is therefore not an issue. With McCain, yes. But not Obama.
Can someone tell me why it matters if he has multiple citizenships? Unless he renounced his U.S. citizenship himself, after he turned 18, then you need to provide some evidence.
No matter where Obama was born, even if you could prove without any doubt that he was born in Kenya, his mother is an American citizen and that makes him American by birth.
And John McCain was born where, again?

British? Wasn't he supposed to be Kenyan?
Kenya was part of the British Empire when Barack Obama was born. It became independant in 1964. So yes, If he's born on British Soil, and one of his parents is British, he's British by British Law.
However, him being born from a US-born mother makes him US Citizen by Law as well.
Knowing he's born in Hawaii after it became a US State, there's no problem whatsoever.
Kayube said, "Unless they're going to start claiming Biden's not a citizen either."
But Biden is white. Their unspoken objection is not that Obama is allegedly foreign born, or even that he's too liberal for their liking. It's because he's black and they can't stand the idea of a black man being in charge.
His mother was an American citizen.
End of discussion.
Oh yes, all your other claims are outright lies.
You now have my permission to die in a fire.
Oh, thanks Freethinker.
Anyway, I love how these idiots actually think that they know better than all the experts. If Obama really was a "usurper", he wouldn't have been able to run for President in the first place .
Why must these people be too stupid to grasp such a simple idea?
These idiots would be quite happy with Joe Biden becoming president, after all, he's white, and that's the only issue that concerns them.
Why don't we all call or email Mario Apuzzo Esq. and let him know how stupid his lawsuit is? Or better yet, waste his time by going on a long, rambling monologue about how Obama is really a Reptilian and you have proof, etc.
To be President, you have to be a natural-born American citizen. This can be achieved either by being born on American soil, or by being the child of an American citizen. Obama was born in Hawaii AND his mother was an American citizen. So stfu.
Also...why monkeys? >_>
he was fucking born in this country, the shit about him being a "british citizen" is irrelevant if the USA doesn't care about ties to other countries.
the stuff about the UK law is irrelevant. when i read it, it said that even if his father was born in UK territory, he was not and never lived in one, so he has no ties to the UK,
so therefore he isn't considered a citizen of the commonwealth, at most he maybe a subject of the queen, but even that is questionable
it's stupid, the US doesn't recognize UK law on its citizens anyway, so they are clutching at straws.
1) Interesting, now he's British!
2) As long as YOU are born in the United States, it DOES NOT matter where your parents are born, meaning that Obama's Father's Kenyan nationality is irrelevant
3) Going with 1, since you're asserting he's a British subject, how exactly does that work?
4) I'm sure the use of monkeys is purely coincidental, eh fucktard?
@Kayube
Some seriously believe that the election results would be overturned and the "Runner up" would get in, and since McCain must have "known about it" and didn't say he'd be forced to step aside leading to...
President Palin.
Some just want to get enough anger going for some nut to snap and...
Others think this is some NWO plot like always.
Of course the "Leaders" are either attention whores or those profitting off of the others donations for "legal costs".
@SleepNeed
They DID get premptively laughed out of the Supreme Court I think. Which of course means they are "In on it".
@ Churchy La Femme: right. The birthers didn't like Clinton, either, but we didn't hear chatter about his citizenship or birth certificate. Of course, Bill Clinton is white.
Wait, he's British now? Cool, we'll take him, if you guys don't want him. I'm British and frankly Obama would be a grand improvement over any of the current candidates to be prime minister.
I thought he was supposed to be Kenyan? or Indonesian? please stick to one lie and keep it there.
Confused?
