So what if God told her to be a pastor? Joan of Arc was ordered by God. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Harriet Tubman had a vision from God, or at the very least angels. So what makes you think he wouldn't send a woman to take the position of pastor, which is pretty small in comparison?

I believe I'm just as useful and strong as some men. My husband often says I'm stronger than he is, and he's at least a foot taller than me. And I'm the responsible one for our household, in most ways. I do the bills, I keep track of where everything is, I keep it clean and the washing done. My husband also says I'm the smart one, and he's an engineer.

Male pastors generally say they joined the clergy because they felt called by God and were obeying that call.
Apparently, when a woman obeys that call, she is somehow also disobeying God at the same time. Jerry has dug himself a logical hole, and until he can resolve this paradox, I don't think we should bother listening to a damned thing he says on this subject, as he can't even explain his own views on it coherently.

The sad part is that you don't see a contradiction between those two statements and the notion that your religion thinks of women as second class citizens. It's called brainwashing and there is a cure for that. The only observable side effect is the ability to think clearly for the first time in decades.

I highly, highly doubt that God would want half of the human race (by the way, both genders were created in God's image; a convincing if somewhat indirect argument for a Divine Feminine among the Trinity) to be unquestioning slaves to the other half, simply because of the difference in genitals!
