Why the Survivors exist
Compelled by the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and our respect for life, the Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust speak out on behalf of over 50,000,000 children lost to abortion in America since 1973.

Dedicated to defending the right to life of future generations, we are engaged in a battle to end America's genocide. We recognize the urgency of this war, as over 3,000 children die each day in the United States because of abortion.

The Survivors feel that we are directly affected by this holocaust because it happened to us -we are the target. Abortion has claimed the lives of our classmates, friends, our brothers and sisters. We feel it is our obligation to tell their story for them and compel the world to recognize us as the Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust.

The Survivors encourage and empower the youth of today as they dare to rise up against the slaughter of innocent children through abortion. We are committed to educating and equipping young activists who have a heart for the pre-born and are willing to be used by God to "defend those unjustly sentenced to death."

We believe that it is not enough to know that abortion is wrong...

...we are called to expose the horrific truth to the world.

Yet if it would come down do support PREVENTING abortion (you know, that horrid birth control) you'd be protesting that as well I'd imagine. You'd rather just think the problem of teen pregnancy goes away if abortion isn't possible anymore, rather than just pushed in obscurity (backalley abortions and such), which would be sooooo much better.

For the record, I'm against abortion, by which I mean I'm against the need for abortion. I don't think to have any right to decide what a woman can do with her own body and I'm all for educating teens and not force them to suffer a lifelong consequence for a mistake (something teens simply tend to do by merit of being teens).

Hey, a pro-death site with accurate-ish figures; though they should have cited the paper Jones RK et al., Abortion in the United States: Perspectives on Sexual and Reproductive Health, 2008, 40(1). But they should target the main abortion provider in the world: a Mr G Hova. In the USA alone this legendary figure stops between 2 and 3.5 million pregnancies every year by preventing implantation and is known to terminate by miscarriage at least another 600,000. Commentators do argue that this G Hova probably terminates another 1.5 million pregnancies before the mother is even aware of it.

Using these figures it can be estimated that since 1973 Mr Hova has terminated 650,000,000 pregnancies - 30 times the number of the licensed providers in the US alone.

Dear fundie freak,

DO NOT compare abortion (which is often a wrenching decision for the mother) with the Holocaust. My grandmother survived Auschwitz, and when I showed this statement to her, she was infuriated.

Oh, and by the way, it is not possible to mourn your aborted classmates and friends, because by the time a person is developed enough to go to school or to make friends, several years have passed since their birth and it is no longer possible to abort them, a procedure performed only pre-birth. It is possible to mourn an aborted sibling (if you ever knew about them at all), and yes, in some cases the loss was tragic (like when the loved and wanted baby-to-be was found to have something hideously wrong, or your mother's body couldn't handle the pregnancy and an abortion had to be performed to save her life). In most cases, your mom is never going to tell you about the abortion, and even if she does, you never had a chance to get to know the fetus, so you aren't really mourning them, you're mourning the fact that your mother had a procedure you don't agree with.

Interestingly, I actually know a 'survivior' of abortion, though not remotely in the sense this whackjob is talking about. A woman I know got pregnant, the embryo failed to thrive, and her body didn't behave as pregnant anymore, so by the time she found out that the first one had died, she had a second conception that the docs didn't know about. They aborted the first, the second got missed somehow, and the second pregnancy progressed. (I saw every piece of paper from that doctor and attended all the tests, as I was with her through the whole thing - I spent months going WTF, but it's true.)

Of course, that woman's body was a singularly unsuitable place for a baby to grow, and so she gave birth at 27 weeks, at great risk to her own life. The child is terribly disabled on many fronts because of it, as was the child she had had years beforehand. But you fucktards want to take away the right to choose not to subject a child to a 'life' like that, or to choose not to die while doing so.

No birth control, no preventive hysterectomy, no abortion, isn't that right?

A child is a born human being with a social security number and a birthday. END OF FUCKING STORY!

How many children have the US military killed around the world, directly or indirectly, over the past decade? Pro-life, my ass!

Do you have the funds to take care of all these unwanted children? To feed, clothe, house, LOVE, educate and guide every single one of them? If not, shut the fuck up!

You know what? One good way of reducing abortions, is to supply teenagers with CONTRACEPTIVES and INFORMATION! At an early age, preferably before they turn teenagers.

Sorry for using the "Caption of truth", but this makes me seriously angry.

I had a younger friend, when I was about 13 years old, who constantly said that she might have been older than I was, because her mother was expecting a child a few years before I was born. I don't really remember if it was a miscarriage or an abortion, but the pregnancy was terminated somehow. I tried to explain to her that that fetus was not her, it would have been a different person, just like her younger brother was.
Suddenly, I was not allowed to play with her anymore. Her mother remained unfailingly kind, though, almost too pleasant. Strange that...

Unless you can prove you were actually subjected to the abortion procedure, don't you dare call yourself a survivor. I'm a serious car crash survivor. Several of my friends and family are cancer survivors. Another survived drug addiction. And another survived a motorcycle crash in which he lost a leg. My nephew survived premature birth. There are a couple million earthquake survivors in Haiti right now. Thousands (if no millions) of soldiers have survived combat.

How dare you put yourselves in the same category as those of us who actually did survive something? How dare you trivialize what true survivors have gone through just to further your misogynistic agenda? And you people wonder why you get no respect.

Who exactly are the survivors? The people who have had abortions and regretted them? I don't understand this.

Also, I see that they're pro-abstinence, which is, largely, a crock of shit. There is nothing wrong with telling your children, "Look, I don't want you having sex until you're married. But if you do, please be safe and use protection--here are some examples--and don't have sex with someone that you don't care about".

That's what my parents did.

If you tell a kid, "DON'T HAVE SEX IT'S BAD YOU CAN ONLY HAVE IT WHEN YOU'RE MARRIED", well--you just made it a lot more appealing.

Really, if the Fundies stopped demonizing sex so much, and actually educating teens on safe-sex practices (and on forming healthy relationships), we really wouldn't have need of abortions.

Kids are stupid. You can't assume they'll listen to you just because you're in a position of authority. That's kind of the opposite of what they'll do.
