The Word of God is revealed through us thorugh the Holy Spirit. Anybody could pick up the Book and if they didn't have the Holy Spirit, it would gibberish. The reading of the Good Book is an act of faith. Therefore if you were to present to me the Bible in a language I could not read, if I had enough faith and the Holy Spirit... I would be able to drink God's Word from it.

So is the "Holy Spirit" is some sort of universal translator like on Star Trek, or is it more like "Doc" Smith's Arisian Lens?
Still, it should be relatively easy to test. Have 10 books of the bible translated into some obscure or specially created language, give them to Marcus and ask him which of the books in the bible each is.
If he doesn't get more than half right he's either (a) wrong, or (b) lacking in faith.
it would gibberish.
drink God's Word from it.
Uh huh, It does gibberish, all right.

So for an Atheist to understand the Bible, they require the 'Holy Spirit', but if they have the Holy Spirit in order to understand the Bible, yo can't be an Atheist?
Oooookayyyy... the term 'Catch-22' springs to mind here. On the other hand, the Bible is riddled with contradictions & flaws that only the Atheist can discern, but for a fundie to do the same, that'd require them to renounce their 'faith' and become an Atheist. Door swings both ways, bitch.
Just ask the ex-athlete & ex-born-again Christian turned Atheist Jonathan Edwards. Proof that it is possible.

The Bible is available in Klingon. Give it your best shot. In this case, drink the Blood Wine of Kahless the Unforgettable from it.
Qapla'.
Hi everyone, my name's Luke. I'm an Agnostic-Atheist from the UK, Marcus, the "fundie" who wrote this, is now an Agnostic and not a Christian and went back on all the things he wrote and edited them all. Just an FYI people.
I looked at klingon bible transtlation
Sounds like they ripped some of the sounds of from hebrew
V'ahafta et adoni elohkiha b'col b'col levavkha b'kol nashfkha b'col meodekha
I learned some hebrew the ordnary way .... by studing it i can do zome reading of the origional text in its origonal language. This solves the verson contraversy.
What i said was
You shall love the lord your god withdrawn all your heart with all your soul and all your might
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
