If we were putting up monuments that say \"God Doesn't Exist. Get Over It.\" on public property, or asking for time in public schools devoted solely to Bible-bashing, you'd have a point. But there is a difference between not endorsing any religion and endorsing \"no religion\".

Atheism is a religion about as much as bald is a hair color. Crosis has it exactly right; there is a vast difference between making a positive claim that there is no god and refraining from claiming that there is a god (or referring to one as if already assumed to exist), and this goes double for specific religious tenets (such as displays of the Ten Commandments or Christmas creches on government property).

How do you practice not believing? Maybe the same way as cameron222 practices not believing in Allah.
It's not discrimination to not believe the same things you do. Discrimination is excluding due to your beliefs, your gender, your skin-color or your disability. In what way have you been excluded, and from what?
As long as you keep your religion to your churches and your homes, we will keep our atheism to our homes, m'kay?
