I always have a hard time with how the disasters always seem to strike in parts of the world where they don't have the infrastructure to withstand the earthquakes nor the money to rebuild after. Much of it seems to happen unbelieving parts of the world to. But then I also can find a bit of comfort knowing that many of the children who died ended up with Jesus, when they probably would have grown up to be unbelievers and lost forever. [Emphasis added]

Assuming you are running your mouth about the earthquake in Haiti, somewhere along the line you missed the fact that the percentage of christians is higher there than in the U.S.
Then again, you are a fucking idiot; so I guess it all evens out in the end.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. All the bad things happen to unbelievers... except when they don't.
Thank you so much for in effect saying "I'm glad these children died instead of growing up to be like the Papabear." You know the kind, thinking, caring, tolerant. STFU.
You see, this I cant ever understand about these so called Christians at RR. Even the Muslims acknowledge that if you do good and live a good life you will go to Heaven, but these morons at RR believe that they alone are saved and then they call that "love"... WTF is wrong with them...srsly...
Aside from being immesurably evil, it is also factually incorrect.
Haiti is an extremely Catholic country
The other largest disasters in terms of death toll and property damage combined were:
Hurricane Katrina = USA, majority Christian
Pakistan Earthquake = Pakistan, very Muslim
Columbia volcano = Columbia, very Catholic
East Asia tsunami = very Muslim/Catholic
What was that about unbelievers?
The same areas tend to be struck time and time again with disasters. They simply don't have time to rebuild before the next strikes.
Plus, if you import lots and lots of slaves, dump them on an island and let them harvest cotton (or whatever it was), and then just leave them there to fend for themselves when it's no longer Kosher to have slaves, it seldom ends in an affluent rich suburban dream life for the left-behind people.
"But then I also can find a bit of comfort knowing that many of the children who died ended up with Jesus, when they probably would have grown up to be unbelievers and lost forever."
But remember children, sending little innocent unborn babies up to Jesus before birth is an intrinsic evil.
fucked up careless twit
Here is a thought, learn from events so loss of life can be reduced in the future. Every single life that was lost in Haiti is a tragedy and should be remembered with every brick and nail that goes into reconstruction.
If you need a silver lining: I'm so damned glad that people rushed to help with donations, time, or skills. I'm so damned glad that people are continuing to care and help... you know, the types of people that are good samaritans.
I've never understood why it's so important to God that we "believe" in Him, and yet He never does any of the obvious and simple things He could do to show Himself to us. In fact, even in the Bible He often chooses screwy round-about ways of doing stuff. Why, for example, if He wanted to kill everybody except Noah and his family, didn't He just turn everyone into pillars of salt, like He did with Lot's wife? If He was pissed at humanity, why did He have to wipe out all the animals and then regrow them again?
I assume this is about Haiti. If it indeed is, then you are a fucking moron. Haiti has a higher percentage of Christians than the US does. But I forgot that Catholics "don't count" according to fundies.
And BTW, the most atheistic nations in the world (over 75% of population) are Sweden and Norway, which see fewer disasters than the US does.
This post was just after EmmieAZ on RR:
"Yes... reports of people calling out Jesus' Name and singing hymns. May God's mercy fall on these people and may WE remember to praise Him constantly!"
So in other words---better praise God so he doesn't get pissed and do to us what he did to Haiti! Yup, great guy to pray to and call a "God of Love"
Funny that Haiti is approx 85-90% Christian.
Not many unbelievers there. But when you post on Retard Ready you pretty much are telling the whole world you are a moron so I had not expected you knew this little fact about Haiti.
Raptards are delighted when someone on the other side of the world is miserable, it helps them take their minds of their own misery.
Vile buzzards, every single one of them.
Horrible. Just horrible.
But even by their own obscene reckoning, what about all those children killed who had already reached the age of reason. They're going to hell, and they haven't even had life. Nice work, God.
(Not to mention that it doesn't say anything about the age of reason in the bible. Just a few indistinct phrases, e.g. 'suffer the little children to come unto me' which they've taken to mean that, because even they have to know that God condemning babies to hell is bad PR.)
caustic gnostic
The dead ones are dead.
Have you offered any help to the living, you know, the crippled orphans that your imaginary friend left alive?
Interestingly, I was told that there are no state-run orphanages in Haiti. All the orphanages are run by the Church, and will not let the children be adopted by non-Christians.

1.) Once again, then why are the "Bible Belt" and "Tornado Alley" the same place?
2.) What, you mean like Japan and the West Coast of the US? Give me a break.
Y'know, maybe they're poor because of truckload of historical political issues. Things like colonialism and civil war and all that. And when your country doesn't have a lot of money or stability, the odds of your house being able to withstand natural disasters tends to plummet.
That's just really, REALLY fucked up.
I mean, Emmie here is actually GLAD that children died. Glad because her religion twists her mind in such a way that it's preferable for children to die before the age of reason that to be raised by parents who don't follow Her Special Brand of Christianity.
Hmm... under this reasoning, shouldn't Emmie here support abortion? I mean, let's face it - any woman who has an abortion obviously isn't a Real Christian and isn't likely to raise their child as such. Isn't it better for the baby to be aborted and thus be assured a place in heaven than to be born into a godless home and be condemned to hell for all eternity?
Wait, since when San Francisco or Japan haven't got the resources to face those kind of events?. Hey, what about the adults who died?, are they going to hell?. Another reason why their religion doesn't make any sense.
Why with that reasoning, you can justify locking up Jewish children in synagogues and burning them alive!
Oh go on, don't be modest or think I'm going overboard. You haven't used a word that wasn't used by your co-religionists who did just that.
Really? because I find no comfort in the early end to the lives of thousands upon thousands of generally good people.
But hey, I don't belong to a death cult.
Guess that means if you really care about children, you'll go on a murderous rampage to keep them from not accepting Christ.
By this logic, shouldn't you be FOR abortion? Like mandatory abortion for every pregnancy?
'sigh'
disasters happen everywhere. the countries that have the infrastructure to stand it have no deaths because of it and it never makes the news.
same earthquake that hit Haiti hit the Dominican Republic next door. how many people died there? well the Dominican Republic had all that western tourist money to build buildings that don't fall over very easily, so...
edit: for all those saying Haiti is very Catholic. remember that RR doesn't think Catholics are real Christians.
So you are happy that a bunch of kids were crushed under falling rubble?
Fundie childcare, once your post - natal you're fucked!
That is just...so...wrong.
How do you even reconcile God killing kids because their parents are unbelievers to your views on abortion?
And Haiti's overwhelmingly Christian...ARRGH.
Reiterating yet AGAIN, if that's the case, why the hell are you guys so adamantly opposed to abortion? The women get rid of the fetuses (which, by the way, aren't the same as babies), and the fetuses go to heaven. Everyone wins.
Which explains why God drove Katrina to New Orleans and stuck Tornado Alley right through the heart of the USA. Or maybe not.
As for your taking comfort from dead children, words fail me. It doesn't happen often that words fail me, but they just did.
I've never met someone who was happy that children died. I used to think people at least had their heads on that tight.
Thanks, fundamentalism. You may try to erode my faith in humanity, but you fail to notice that it's just you being terrible.
Confused?
