Joseph Goebbels, Hitler's Propaganda Minister, is credited with this saying, "If you tell a lie long enough, loud enough, and often enough the people will eventually believe it". And 0bama's own Minister of Propaganda, Rahm Emanuel, sure knows a thing or two about telling lies - loudly and often. He was also the one who came up with not letting a good crisis go to waste. Btw, is anyone surprised by the fact that 0bama's propaganda department is taking its cues from the Nazis?

Is anyone surprised that people on Rapture Ready are comparing Obama to the Nazis?
And it's OK, you can spell out Obama without using the zero. I'm sure if the government really was watching you, they'd have caught on to that little trick by now. If not, I'll tell them.
Sigh. "Propaganda departments" are pretty much the same everywhere. Democrats use them, republicans, moderates, the whole shebang.
So everyone's a Nazi now, right?
'If you tell a lie loud enough, long enough, and often enough, the people will eventually believe it.'
Kind of like your buddies at Fox News? Or the brain-trust that was Karl Rove? The whole mess of WMDs and terrorists in Iraq?
Things that were shoved down our throats for seven and a half years or so to really strip away our freedoms in the name of security and safety? Those kinds of lies?
Summer, you like quotes, it seems, so how about this one. Paraphrased from one of this country's founding fathers: 'He who sacrifices liberty for security deserves neither.'
Your buddies on the right were all too willing to suspend your rights and freedoms to protect you, and you were too willing to let them. Yet, you blame those on this mysterious, nebulous, and hazy 'left' for the perceived loss of freedoms in this country.
That's called hypocrisy.
Also: Godwin insta-Fail.
"Btw, is anyone surprised by the fact that 0bama's propaganda department is taking its cues from the Nazis?"
That insult stopped being clever decades ago.

Godwin. 5 minute major.
Aw, come on, Sailing! Get it right, will you?
Rahm Emanuel is not the Minister of Propaganda. That would be Robert Gibbs.
Ahem....
George Bush's grandfather, the late US senator Prescott Bush, was a director and shareholder of companies that profited from their involvement with the financial backers of Nazi Germany.
The Guardian has obtained confirmation from newly discovered files in the US National Archives that a firm of which Prescott Bush was a director was involved with the financial architects of Nazism.
His business dealings, which continued until his company's assets were seized in 1942 under the Trading with the Enemy Act, has led more than 60 years later to a civil action for damages being brought in Germany against the Bush family by two former slave labourers at Auschwitz and to a hum of pre-election controversy.

Now will you shut the fuck up about Nazis?
A crisis that, IF I REMEMBER WELL, was started by Bush. Or the fact that he won legitimate elections. Look, the one who is buying into say the lie so much that at the end you'll believe it.

The Republicans have been absolutely Goebbels-tastic in their lying and they don't have to tell it for that long either, their followers LOVE to believe it.
So, by the way, do all modern advertising companies. Say what you like about em, they were bloody good at marketing.
Politicians of all persuasions when propagating lies are not taking their cues from Nazis you daft plonker, the dissemination of misinformation and downright lies is a phenomenon as old as humanity. I know of some human cults that have been doing just that for at least 2000 years and are still doing it.
Actually, the Nazis were spot on with that one. As terrible as they were, they were right about it.
Besides, the Hitler liked dogs. Using your logic, Hitler liked dogs -> Hitler was evil -> everything he did or liked is evil = liking dogs is evil.
Confused?
