Plenty of homosexuals are serving in the armed forces right now.

The only thing that will happen is they won't be mindlessly discharged, and we won't waste incredible sums of money training people solely to throw them away because you don't like what they're attracted to.

I'm looking forward to seeing the results after DADT is repealed (whether it's soon or under one of Obama's successor presidents). There will be lots of gay American military men, some of them "heroes," to speak out for gay rights.

You have no idea how many gay or lesbian members of the military we have that are closeted? One of the shames of our country is that they can't be open or even tell anyone that they have a partner.

I know a guy who recently got honorably discharged after two tours in Iraq then he told me that the biggest relief is he could love his partner more openly, instead of maintaining that they where best friend.
