Quote# 69995

Either you guys are still too naive, or I'm too cynical to believe that honest elections (or Democrats leaving office graciously at all) will ever happen anymore.

From this day forward, every Democrat will be ACORNed into office whether they win the vote or not.

You think we were screwed over in November 2008? You ain't seen nothin' yet.

I hope to God I'm wrong, but I get a bad feeling that I'm not...

Doubting Thomas

Apparently you didn't hear who won Teddy Kennedy's seat.

2/1/2010 4:22:27 PM

Yeah, they'll probably get the Supreme Court to install the candidate of their choice, rather than having the required recount.

Oh, wait...

Sandwich Board

Hang on: I thought it was supposed to be the 2000 election that was stolen.

2/1/2010 7:00:27 PM

@Sandwich Board

Keep in mind that Republican wingnuts like to project, a lot.

OH, but it's ok if the man who didn't win the votes gets put into office by fiat of the Supreme Court, which was packed by republican President picked judges?

2/1/2010 10:12:29 PM

Mind if i mock you?

2/1/2010 11:29:52 PM

I like that word you just coined there:

Acorn, v. used to mean some nonspecific and completely unintelligible but morally subversive activity.

2/2/2010 1:35:23 AM

The same could be said about ANY candidate. Yes, I know that you're angry because you don't like the one who won.

2/2/2010 2:36:15 AM

I could always use the same arguments that you used when Democrats said this same thing about Republicans while Bush was in office.

For the last fucking time, all ACORN does in elections is register voters, just like the little old ladies you see sitting outside grocery stores around election time doing the same thing. Then they turn in the cards. They have no role in tallying or conducting elections.

Once upon a time, REPUBLICANS were going into black neighborhoods, registering voters, and then destroying the cards instead of turning them in, so that those predominantly Democratic black voters would turn up at the polls on election day, find they had never been registered, and could not vote. Hence, a law had to be passed requiring that all voter registration cards, even obviously fraudulent ones, like Mickey Mouse or Ima Fraud, had to be turned into the Registrar of Voters for them to evaluate and dispose of. ACORN had a couple of people working for them who turned in a number of obviously fraudulent cards to get the per-piece fee. ACORN flagged those cards as questionable, and turned them in to the Registrar, compliant with the law. Lying Republican assholes then twisted that story, like they do everything else, spending months accusing ACORN of crimes they did not commit. The Bush Justice Department spent a fortune in taxpayer money trying to find ACORN guilty of something, but couldn't. In fact, they found that ACORN were themselves the victims of fraud by the workers who bilked them out of the fees for the bad cards. Republicans REALLY hate ACORN because they get out the vote in heavily Democratic minority communities.

The one time Obama worked with ACORN, he was working in conjuntion with the US Justice Department, years before he was elected.

ACORN couldn't have changed the outcome of the election even if they'd wanted to, but Diebold, owned by a Republican who promised in 2004 to "deliver a victory" for Bush and the Republican party with his hacked voting machines, could, and HAS, to the tune of 40,000 Ohio 2004 votes magically switched from Kerry to Bush, and some fixed local races in 2008, among others, that we KNOW about. The Obama landslide was just too big for them to get away with it......THIS time.

2/2/2010 1:31:46 PM

If that were true, why didn't they win all the seats?

2/2/2010 3:31:52 PM

I'm surprised you didn't actually say "ACORNHOLED," since all you KKKons bring up gay/pedophilia/beastiality/abortion and all the other buzzwords from your handbook of lies.

2/2/2010 4:01:29 PM

Oh, don't be a sore loser. Millions of Americans decided they wanted a change so they got out and voted Democrat. If you're gonna be mad at someone, be mad at the people who couldn't be bothered to vote and had no reason not to.

2/2/2010 4:06:26 PM

Dr. Novakaine

Idiots who think ACORN could possibly steal an election need a sharp smack on the head to jar them into reality (or back to reality, if they were somehow there at one point).

You did get screwed over, but not by ACORN. No, you morons fucked yourselves in the ass.

2/3/2010 7:38:44 AM

The only elections that have ever been fixed/stolen in this country in the last ten years were fixed or stolen by Republicans, not Democrats.

2000 Supreme Court Right-Wing Coup? Stolen by Republicans.

2004, Ohio--40,000 votes magically switched by computer from Kerry to Bush, when exit polls showed a clear win for Kerry--Stolen by Republicans.

2004, Southwest: 250,000 Democratic voter registration cards shredded by RNC employees.

Democrats (like Tim Robbins and Oprah) showing up at polls all over the country, to find that their names had been inexplicably stricken from the records. They were refused their vote unless they could put in a day's worth of red tape, travel to multiple offices, and threaten leagal action in order to vote--More handy work of Republicans.

I could go on and on.

ACORN has never committed any kind of voter fraud They have NOTHING to do with the running of elections.

2/3/2010 12:38:03 PM

Leave office graciously?

You mean like Cheney and others from the Bush administration, who have been on Fixed News since the day they left office, criticizing and deliberately undermining their successors after having spent eight years calling anyone who didn't agree with every move Bush made unpatriotic or treasonous?

2/3/2010 12:43:44 PM

2/3/2010 7:42:29 PM

apparently you have forgotten that 2008 was a different enough election that people that didn't care for the last 2-3 elections came out and voted.
claiming ACORN did anything is absurd, they have nothing to do with who a person votes for, only with helping to get people to vote at all.

you are wrong, you are fractionally wrong, every angle every spot no matter how big is wrong in your post.

If you're going use a C&P of somebody else's entire previous post from a different quote thread (in this case, mine) instead of writing your own comment, you should include a note that you're quoting a post that was written by someody else.
