Hey, when Christ returns at the end of Armageddon, he is going to destroy all evil with one word. So why does he need an army behind him as backup? Spectators maybe? I hope not! I personally want to be in his army and charge those evil you know whats! It is going to be the end of all evil, im sure it has to be dramatic as the charge of Rohan in Lord of the Rings: return of the King. sounds fun to me!!! how bout you guys?

Yeah, all that pain and suffering for everyone who's not as morally superior as you; I can see how you'd really be looking forward to a front-row seat for that, what with you being so full of Christian love and compassion, and all.
The Rohirrim will ride again before Christ returns.
You have to re-evaluate your perception of evil first, dear. Evil is not "everyone who disagrees with me", but "the ones who hurt others for fun, malice, or out of complete disregard for their wellbeing".
Why does this post reminds me of South Park episode, when Kenny get's to lead God's army of angels and Archangel Michael only gets to watch the battle.
"Oh my. It's awesome. It's ten times better than Lord of the Rings. No, a hundred times!"
"And his word shall carry death eternal for those who speak out against the righteous."
-Stilgar, Dune (1984)
Out of curiosity, can we get Muad'dib to fight Jesus at the end of Armageddon?
@Adrian:
"Ride now!... Ride now!... Ride! Ride to ruin and the world's ending! ... Death! ... Death! ... DEATH! "
Drpepper687 missed the entire point of that scene . Theoden was not riding to just kill the enemy. He was riding to save the people of Minias Tirith, and knew that he would die in the attempt . That is completely the opposite of what Drpepper687 is apparently claiming.
And it was awesome.
The White Horse Redemption Dogma strikes again. If Jesus does come back sword ready on a great white horse (which some gospel alludes to) why do you think he'd have Rapturites as backup?
A question to you mixed-myth Fundies;
How many Angels are there? Can you pull some figure from the Bible or Torah that says how many without calling some Gandalf, Thor or Zeus?
This is Ragnarok or some other end of realm legends, this is the stuff of epic literature that preceeds your shit by centuries. This is fringe American, no credentials denomination ultra-fictional Dogma.
Did you perhaps notice what happened to a lot of the Rohan army ? yup, killed by Orcs, stepped on by giant elephants, bashed by big tusks, it wasn't pretty.
Do you think God is going to bring you back again ? Why does an omnipotent God need troops anyway ? snap his fingers and eliminate evil all at once, or is he not that powerful ? maybe evil rides in iron chariots because everyone knows God runs away when faced with those.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
