They want us to return to a cave-man lifestyle, while they sit pretty in their mansions in the sky and lord it over us. Then they can have their pick of the "litter" of slaves, for personal pleasure and service.

The idea of living in a nice big mansion with a bunch of nubile slaves to do whatever I desire of them is not entirely unattractive (though it would be a bit unfair on the slaves....).

Sorry Jamvaru but this was our old plan.
Empirical testing showed that the 'mansions in the sky' idea was impractical due to the logistical difficulties with water supply and the whole dodging 747s thing. We also discovered that the 'litter of slaves, for personal pleasure and service' bit was already patented by the church.
