I dont think you understand the word “muslim” do you? this means that god has created the baby is submitting to god’s will. this means that all babies are pure and if left alone, they will automatically conclude that there must be a god (or an intelligent designer, as you guys like to call it) and will come on the path of islam and will start to worship is creator. i know this will be to much for you as this argument goes deep and required much understanding, but i feel it will be of no use to you due to your prejuice and narrow minded view on islam.

If children come to Islam naturally, what's with al the rampant and incessant indoctrination their whole life through, hmm?
Wait, this looks familiar... I think a Christian fundie once said the exact same thing.
"If left alone?" What the hell does that even mean?
At least "all babies are pure" is better than "all babies are little sinbuckets because a couple people ate fruit ages ago," but come on, there is no "natural" religion. People have an innate tendency for spirituality, but not for any particular spirituality.
If it was proven scientifically that babies deprived of social contact suddenly start talking about allah in an arabic language, citing the Quran with no previous knowledge, I would just turn muslim within days of learning of it.
But that kind of experiment was first done in ancient egypt, proved that it's bullshit, and was repeated by sick fucks throughout history with pretty much the same results.
The "five pillars" would appear to diasgree with you. No baby, left alone and "pure", is going to spontaneously recite the shahada, perform salah five times each day, fast during ramadan or go on a hajj to Mecca before he or she dies. They need to be either instructed to do so or observe and copy someone else doing so.
Edit: (With a shout out to Berny) They might however spontaneously give alms to the poor (zakat). This is because belief in a god is not a necessary prerequisite to moral, ethical or virtuous behaviour.
Horseshit!
Children left on their own will remain, at best, agnostics. It takes constant indoctrination to make a Muslim or a Christian (or a Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, etc.). Thats why there are religious schools everywhere you look.
Babies aren't born able to quote the Bible or the Qur'an, and only morons think that is so. Any child that has ever been quoted as saying they've felt the presence of god in the womb was coached into thinking that by their parents. It's called false memory syndrome.
While there is some evidence to suggest that children left completely to their own devices may default to theism, they tend to come up with their own deities and explanations for the world around them.
It's not a concrete finding, though. I mean, kids raised in families that never even bring up the subject of religion may simply never identify themselves with any religion. Then again, they tend to go to public schools where science is taught (rightfully) as fact...
"this means that all babies are pure and if left alone, they will automatically conclude that there must be a god"
No. Babies are atheists, they have to be brainwashed with the lie of religion. Just like you were and look at you now, lying for the lord.
Yeah, because in those cases where babies were raised by wild animals every time they were discovered by people they immediately said "Praise Allah."
Also, good to see a Muslim fundie quote for a change. It's good to be reminded occasionally that they're just as deluded as all the other god botherers.
Listen, Goldenhawk, I'm with you, but the problem is that all these other religions are saying the same thing about THEIR kids, so let's do an experiment to set this matter to rest once and for all.
How about ALL religions or spiritual perspectives remove all signs and hints of any religion, or lack of religion, away from children and babies? Christians can't teach them about Christianity, Islam can't teach about Islam, Atheists can't mention Atheism, etcetera.
Naturally, by your logic, every child will then CHOOSE THE RIGHT RELIGION, right?
So a baby will automatically start praying in the direction of Mecca 5 times a day?
Somehow I find that hard to believe.
To others on this board, I'm trying to find a study that was done (I believe in the 1800's) where a man took orphans and they were not interacted with in order to see what language they would automatically start speaking. He believed this would prove which language was "gods language". The children, although cared for, started pining away from lack of social interaction.
"i know this will be to much for you as this argument goes deep and required much understanding...."
Arrogant condescension doesn't enhance your argument, especially when your argument is pathetically idiotic. It just shows that you are not only a fool, but a major jerk as well.
~David D.G.
If what you say is true, why don't you morons -- and the morons who head up all of the other religions -- leave the kids to turn to god on their own? What the hell, it's automatic, right?
I was raised without religion and, as a consequence, I've never believed a word of religious claptrap. The indisputable fact is that people overwhelmingly follow the Faith of their parents. Whether their parents are Christian, Muslim, agnostic, atheists, Buddhists, or any other Faith; it makes no difference. Kids follow the indoctrination, or lack thereof, committed by their parents. Period!
Babies left abandoned usually don't last long enough to grow in childhood, let alone find a religion.
If, by some chance, they do live, they'd probably have their own form of pantheism, as there was no one to explain the natural world in scientific terms.
"... this argument goes deep..."
Yeah, just deep enough to snare all the idiots who are in desperate need of some easy answers.
1. I'm not actually sure words work that way
2. If left COMPLETLEY free from religious influences, I can see how a person would perhaps accept a divine creator, not sue if they would consider themselves islamic thats a bit of a stretch.
You have no idea what the words "deep" and "understanding" mean, do you? In this case, you use them the compliment yourself and to try and strike down your detractors before they have a chance to speak. Its one of the most flagrant and self-serving abuses of language since McDonalds began putting the word "fancy" on their ketchup packages.
You clearly know nothing about the psychology of child development! That is not prejudice on my part. It is a reasonable conclusion based on your assertion. But then, you probably have no idea what "reasonable conclusion" means either.
Confused?
