I am female and was raised to believe that women are more emotional than men, shouldn't be president, blah blah blah. Since I have gotten older I have realized that men are just as emotional and irrational at times as we are, and I have seen women holding it together when men were losing their minds. I know smart women and stupid men. It has nothing to do with our gender. We are all fucked in the head. It's the human condition.
