Note the pronouns. It says "I will greatly multiply thy sorrow", not every woman's sorrow; it says "[thy husband] shall rule over thee " - not "every husband shall rule over every woman". Please feel free to read that scripture for yourself. Just don't invent your own interpretation of it and expect everyone else to listen to you.

When I ask this to fundies who claim this means God's punishment to Eve and all other women was pain in childbirth, I never get a satisfactory answer:
If true, then God must have somehow changed woman's anatomy to accomplish this, since the implication is that prior to this she wouldn't have had pain. If he didn't change her anatomy, he must have known that she would "fall," and never had any intention of allowing childbirth without pain.

Well I don't know how else the baby is going be born. Animals give birth the same way that humans do. Maybe you should watch "Animals in the Womb" on the Discovery Channel (I think.) It may educate you. So is god mad at the females in the animal kingdom as well?
I had 3 kids with minimal drugs and it was painful but not in a way that we don't do it again. If it was that bad, everyone would be any only child.

Yet how curious it is that nobody, religious or not, has ever complained about men subverting their curse by using such tools or by not working in the fields at all, choosing to work in modern inventions such as air-conditioned office buildings.
