(for the record, I do in fact think Obama is good-looking but that's not why I voted for him, I voted for him because even when I don't love the Democrats, I can tolerate them more than I can tolerate the Republicans. The Democrats are "Progress Slowly." The Republicans are "Progress Backwards.")
What's so wrong with a Marxist-style socialism? A government truly run on Marxist principles has never existed. Instead we've see various Leninist and Maoist style governments in which Authoritarianism replaces democracy. The right-wing fear of Socialism is ridiculous, considering not only that this fear lead our country to do terrible things during the Cold War, but also that Socialist policies may be the only way to prevent future recessions and depressions.
Or they wanted a president who could at least form a coherent sentence?
Or a president who didn't start wars under false pretenses?
Or a president who is actually trying to find solutions to our country's problems?
Or a president who doesn't want to turn this country into a theocracy?
