Except, you know, his actions were in no way peaceful AND only killed one doctor, namely one of the few doctors willing to perform late-term medically necessary abortions. So the total number of abortions only declines slightly, but thousands of women who have late-term pregnancy complications will now DIE.

Roeder will have little effect on abortions. If he wanted to prevent abortions, he'd be out there demanding better sex education and easier access to birth control. But I'll bet he's against those, too. He's just still pissed off because all the cool kids had more sex than him and didn't get punished with teen pregnancy.

It's true, thanks to his death, the lives of millions of infants have now been saved, so that they can die of birth defects and/or diseases too expensive for the poor and uninsured to treat without health care. The population won't increase, but rather decrease, because of all of the women who will now die because they can't get to the ONE DOCTOR we have left to save their lives when they require a medically necessary abortion. The deformed fetuses he terminated would either never have survived anyway or would have had to spend what little life they had as vegetables in nursing homes.
