Okay, so killing one of the few doctors who gives late-term abortions only under the conditions that the mother's life is in danger is a good thing? Go jump off a bridge, we will give you a Darwin Award for that.

1. I would be willing to bet that 99.9% of the abortions Tiller performed were non-viable or horribly handicapped fetuses.

Except, you know, his actions were in no way peaceful AND only killed one doctor, namely one of the few doctors willing to perform late-term medically necessary abortions. So the total number of abortions only declines slightly, but thousands of women who have late-term pregnancy complications will now DIE.
Roeder will have little effect on abortions. If he wanted to prevent abortions, he'd be out there demanding better sex education and easier access to birth control. But I'll bet he's against those, too. He's just still pissed off because all the cool kids had more sex than him and didn't get punished with teen pregnancy.
I ran some estimated calculations on this. According to Demonman, Dr. Tiller was able to abort babies at the incredible rate of 2 per minute! It's true, thanks to his death, the lives of millions of infants have now been saved, so that they can die of birth defects and/or diseases too expensive for the poor and uninsured to treat without health care. Praise Jesus! </sarcasm>

The population won't increase, but rather decrease, because of all of the women who will now die because they can't get to the ONE DOCTOR we have left to save their lives when they require a medically necessary abortion. The deformed fetuses he terminated would either never have survived anyway or would have had to spend what little life they had as vegetables in nursing homes.

But abortion doesn't affect the birth rate at all, seriously check out the statistics in America before and after Roe vs Wade, birth rates did not drop.

When Malthusian collapse looms and we all end up living cheek by jowl on carefully rationed cups of thin gruel in the Caves of Steel, whole generations will bitterly curse you and your decadent, feeble-minded ilk for recklessly propagating such dangerously naive arguments.
Global resources and living space have upper limits, and humanity has largely halted all of the major mechanisms that counteract reproduction and keep populations to a tenable size (war, disease, etc). Attempting continuous expansion must result, sooner or later, in a breakdown either of those conditions or itself.
Aborting fetuses that cannot live outside the womb = murder

How do the Fundies equate todays population being greater than it EVER been thanks to medical science, diet etc? Even with abortion rates today more children (and moms)survive birth and infancy than ever before in history.

I assume this is a troll post, but committing murder so that thousands of women will now die from complications during pregnancy or give birth to babies with horrible defects which probably won't live long after their born is not something I'd give a medal to anyone for.
Murdering someone for practicing medicine is not a heroic or peaceful act.
The funny thing is that the same guys who think that he should be given a medal, are against "taking the life, whose duty only belongs to the Lord" and "in favour only when life of the mother is in danger". Ok, live with your contradictions.
