At any rate I agree with you totally. We should never be involved with something thats a lie. However, I think the avenues of deception are varied and subtile to say the least. Many well intentioned scientist could be caught up in this and not even know it. Many scientist work in such a narrow range of the fields they are in that they don't know all of the facts and assume the status quo has got it all right.

How about we leave it up to those educated in the fields of research to decide how "narrow" they are.

This is like Hovind, the uneducated creationist with a fake doctorate who in one sentence will say how arrogant qualified scientists are because they won't pay attention or give validity to people like him.
