Quote# 7063

i never ever believe in evolution. What an insult. I came from a monkey. how do you like that? Darwin even admits at the end of his evolution book that so many facts and findings have been against his theory of evolution. Athiest are the only thing in the world that would believe in evolution because they want to evolve and evolve until they reach a level of Godhood. their pride and trying to understand God's creation with their puny minds have given birth to this theory... what a pity for those scientist to learn that ,' shoot! i wasted my life studying crap' when they come face to face with their creator. sigh.

1. Evolution has been proven in certain areas.
2. The theory of evolution has so much evidence is is true, but due to the fact that it can't be readily observed now by us, we can't call it a law.
3. On The Origin of the Species by means of Natural Selection is not the proof they use all the time in evolution, there is so much more, that was just the beginning.
4. Atheists don't believe in God(s) so they can't reach an existence of a God without in their own beliefs becoming non-existent.

What the hell is so insulting? How is coming from dirt better than coming from something with some semblance of intelligence and feelings?

1. We share a common ancester with monkeys and apes.
2. I don'y want to evo;ve and become immortal (I don't even know if that's possible), I just want to know the truth about how we got here.
3. Oh, playing this card again.
4. What a pity for those Christians to learn that they've wasted their lives studying crap when they come face to face with reality.

"What an insult. I came from a monkey. how do you like that?"

This pretty much sums it all up.

Going from geocentricity, to a universe where the whole of humanity is a mere dust particle lost in time is shocking for some. It's an emotional rejection of reality. Nothing more, nothing less.

No.

I quote from Chapter 14 (the last chapter), of "On The Origin Of Species", with emphasis added:

"That many and grave objections may be advanced against the theory of descent with modification through natural selection, I do not deny. I have endeavoured to give to them their full force. Nothing at first can appear more difficult to believe than that the more complex organs and instincts should have been perfected not by means superior to, though analogous with, human reason, but by the accumulation of innumerable slight variations, each good for the individual possessor. Nevertheless, this difficulty, though appearing to our imagination insuperably great, cannot be considered real if we admit the following propositions, namely, -- that gradations in the perfection of any organ or instinct, which we may consider, either do now exist or could have existed, each good of its kind, -- that all organs and instincts are, in ever so slight a degree, variable, -- and, lastly, that there is a struggle for existence leading to the preservation of each profitable deviation of structure or instinct. The truth of these propositions cannot, I think, be disputed."

Please stop mis-attributing ideas to Darwin. It does him a disservice, and is also irrelevant to evolution being correct or not.

"shoot! i wasted my life studying crap"
You are obviously playing it safe by not studying anything.

Good, so we can give you those 50-year old antibiotics? What, you say they aren't working? Why could that be, they worked fine 50 years ago...

What you believe is irrelevant. I wish you would never ever believe in gravity when walking around some steep cliffs...don't bother paying attention to such crap...

If we want to "study crap" all we need to do is read posts like Xinhong's. There's enough crap in there to satisfy even the most determined student.

I came from a monkey. how do you like that?

Do you prefer to come from a blob of mud and dirt, which was divided into a male and a female, whose descendants populated the Earth via incest?

at the end of his evolution book

You can’t even state the title of the book, why should we listen to anything you have to say about it? And even if this would be true, it would change nothing. The Origin Of Species is not some holy tome, and Darwin’s original ideas have been developed and changed further in the last 150 years.
