According to Wiktionary:
fascism English ( IPA: /'fæ??z(?)m/, enPR: fash'iz(?)m )
Noun
1. A political regime, having totalitarian aspirations, ideologically based on a relationship between business and the centralized government, business-and-government control of the market place, repression of criticism or opposition, a leader cult and exalting the state and/or religion above individual rights. Originally only applied (usually capitalized) to Benito Mussolini's Italy.
2. By vague analogy, any system of strong autocracy or oligarchy usually to the extent of bending and breaking the law, race-baiting and violence against largely unarmed populations.
HMMMM, sound familiar? "...exalting the state and/or religion above individual rights" definitely does... And as for "...bending and breaking the law, race-baiting and violence against largely unarmed populations", I don't think I've heard of homosexuals (or anyone, for that matter) doing this to Christians, but I've definitely heard of Christians doing it to homosexuals (and quite a few others...)
I think my irony meter just exploded. "Fascist" is not the right word for this person to be using, at least not if he's talking about homosexuals. If he's talking about himself and others like him, then he's at least getting warmer. A better word for the LGBT people and their allies would be "egalitarian".
Oh, but I forgot, it wouldn't sound like a righteous cause if they started calling it the "Homo-Egalitarian Watch". That would just make them all look like assholes. Interesting... ;)

I have a theory as to why homophobes are so...homophobic. I bet when a primitive human first saw two primitive same-sex humans having sexual relations, it was so foreign to him/her that s/he thought, "WTF???" That is, of course, a natural reaction to something that's new to you. But this primitive human then made the (all-too-human) mistake of thinking, "If it makes me uncomfortable, it must be WRONG!!" It didn't occur to them that they were repulsed simply because it deviated from what they were used to. Not that there's no danger in deviation (that's why the natural reaction is to be wary), but deviation in and of itself is not bad or wrong. Repulsion from foreign things is a normal and useful instinct, but it makes you wary of things that are NEW, *not* of things that are dangerous! It is designed to protect you from POTENTIAL threats, not act as a 100%-accurate radar of what's bad and what's not. DUH!
So, because the first human to witness homosexuality in action didn't take a moment to reassess his/her judgment, we now have intolerant, illogical homophobes who still have yet to provide a single reason why homosexuality is a "[vile] sin" (apparently on par with pedophilia, bestiality, incest, and now fascism. *wink*).
