I...have no idea what he's trying to say here.

"Religion is an insult to human dignity."
Like that scientist?

"Sscientists have been claiming that God is a figure of the imagination, and that the bible isn't all true."
uh....i think you mean "scientists". one s.
also, it's because god IS a figment of imagination.
oh....and the bible isn't true at all.
in fact, it's full of lies and bullshit!

So much of the bible is so disprovable by even basic science, to the extent where it can safely be written off as extremely bad fiction. To take two obvious examples, there are tons (literally) of evidence that the earth is billions of years old and how it came to exist, and no evidence whatsoever that Noah's flood did or could have happened. Quite the contrary, in fact.
You have no idea, do you, just how off-the-scale absurd your biblical "truths" are?

They don't have to try very hard to succeed. The complete lack of evidence for, well, almost everything in the Bible, is doing the work for them.
Experiments and intelligent debates tend to always leave the Bible in question.
But no, we aren't bad-mouthing Christianity.
We are just saying it's a religion, and it should not be used to try and explain facts about the world today.

"How do you tell a religious person? It's someone who reads religious texts.
How do you tell a non-religious person? It's someone who understands religious texts."
(The original quote was from Ronald Reagan and was about communism, but as communism is an irrational belief system as any religion, the transition of this quote was completely straightforward.)

The Egyptians never mention The flood or the ten plagues, we have grainary records from these guys (this is of course only a good argument if this is one of the "flood happened 4400 years ago, Earths only 6000 years old" camp)
If not nevermind
But it is, isn't it?
