Quote# 7090

Really, cancer is one of the more easy things to be healed of or at least get it into remission. Cancer represents sin in the way it eats away at the body. Jesus came, so we can be delivered, healed and set free from our sin. So also, we can be healed and set free from cancer.

Interesting that the omnipotent God only gets the cancer into remission sometimes.
I read a website recently (I'm sorry, I don't remember whose site it was) that pointed out how miraculous cures are often claimed for internal medical conditions, but apparently the omnipotent God can't heal amputees.

No irony intended by this remark, but posts of this sort make me sick.

What's worst about this belief is that whenever a \"faith healing\" attempt seems to succeed, God gets the credit; but whenever it is not successful (which is virtually every time, actually), the patient is blamed for his \"lack of faith\" or \"failure to repent for his sins.\"

Nauseating.

Cancer has nothing to do with sin. It has everything to do with certin cells in your body who start replicating out of control and there is no easy way to cure it, because it's not an outsider pathogen, it's your own body going nuts.

Tell that to my favorite aunt who passed away over four years ago from cervical cancer who was only 49, a devout Christian, and one of the kindest individuals in the world. Try telling that to my best friend's mom who was about the same age and died of leukemia and posessed the same admirable traits as my aunt. Ignorant bastard!!

This almost makes me wish that this dude gets cancer, so we can all collectively yell "PWNT!" in his face.

Is that why my father, born-again bible basher, died slowly and painfully from cancer?

I know a christian family. Their mother got breast cancer. She always went to church and I never, ever saw her sinning. And guess what? It was not prayer or repenting that healed her, it was chemo. So sucks to your theory that sin causes all sickness and jebus heals all sickness.

Yeah, and only sinning people become sick. Repent! (/sarcasm)

I hope the member of a family who lost someone to cancer beats some sense into you for that callous, ghoulish remark.

It wasn't Jebus who saved me - it was a man with a very sharp knife.

Oh, okay so my friend who died of cancer was a nasty sinner. It can't possibly be because his cells mutated. He was going to be a nurse, he was going to HELP PEOPLE. He was also a Christian. What a wonderful Creator to take such a good person away.

My mother died of cancer. It was a harrowing experience for me and my dad to watch this ghastly disease do its damage - and then some cretinous fundie comes here and writes something like that?

Go drown in a vat of nuclear waste, cunt.
