If we consider abortion to be morally wrong on the level of murder...
And here's the crux of the disagreement: we do not all consider abortion to be morally wrong or murder.
...we ought to punish the mother if she was complicit in the abortion process.
Except:
1) Abortion is legal per Roe v. Wade so what crime would the mother be charged with?
2) It takes two to tango so the father gets off scott free?! That doesn't seem fair.
3) Miscarriages happen more often than intentional abortion. Would the mother be guilty since her body decided not to carry the fetus to full term?
...women should be mandated to recieve maybe quarterly examinations of their uterus...make pregnant women register and then if they "miscarry" then an exam will be ordered.
This is far beyond creepy. This is you'll-never-date-another-woman-again kinda creepy. This is women-are-nothing-more-than-walking-incubators kinda creepy.
If I really feel abortion is murder...
...then it's your opinion only. Come back when you successfully get R v. W repealed and then we'll talk.
